Event Description

This is a Meet and Greet for families of recruits with a Pass-In-Review date of Thursday, May 27, 2010.

The Meet and Greet is sponsored by the Ramada Waukegan-Gurnee as a service to the families of recruits, and occurs on the evening prior to their graduation. Families of recruits in all divisions are welcome to attend, whether or not you're staying there.

The time is 6:00-8:00 PM, and free, hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. For guests registered at the Ramada, you will be given complimentary drink tickets, 2/room (not 2/guest). A cash bar will be available for non-registered attendees. The Ramada will also provide name tags, so we won’t be overly-taxed trying to remember the names of all our new friends!

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP and leave a comment below with the number you’ll have attending. We need to get an estimated head count to the Ramada by Tuesday, May 25th.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

I talked to Public Affairs this morning and turns out the USO doesn't do their refreshaments after graduations anymore. He suggested to meet at the Visitors Center seeing that is where the boys will come after they get theie pictures. And he said there is plenty of room for all. So I'm suggesting for those who still want to meet after your meet and greet the night before to come to the Visitors Center right on base following graduation and we can all meet each other. I'm going to post this as an event I think but not sure if that is what I should do. Any thoughts?

Yeah I'm feeling the same way! You are so funny- I don't want to 'burst' your excitement!
Tammy- I'm so glad you are coming- we haven't had anyone from 926 post.
Which one are you? The 926 might have their very own flower.
Chris'mom- no it won't be too weird- doubt they make something like that.

Oh my, I'm so excited I could almost burst. We are leaving a week from today. Lori you might have to bring an extra pin, so you can stick me before PIR. I think I might just pop!

Ok there must be something 'bout you ladies in 200! I'm gonna look for the most obnoxious green just for you all!
Comment by ColoAProudSailorMom on May 17, 2010 at 8:47pm
Lori- No Lime? How 'bout Chartreuse? Granny Smith Apple green? There must be something loud and green out there in the silk flower world. If a person can find all the appropriate things to put on a camouflage wedding, surely there is plain old loud green. :)
