Event Description

This is a Meet and Greet for families of recruits with a Pass-In-Review date of Thursday, May 27, 2010.

The Meet and Greet is sponsored by the Ramada Waukegan-Gurnee as a service to the families of recruits, and occurs on the evening prior to their graduation. Families of recruits in all divisions are welcome to attend, whether or not you're staying there.

The time is 6:00-8:00 PM, and free, hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. For guests registered at the Ramada, you will be given complimentary drink tickets, 2/room (not 2/guest). A cash bar will be available for non-registered attendees. The Ramada will also provide name tags, so we won’t be overly-taxed trying to remember the names of all our new friends!

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP and leave a comment below with the number you’ll have attending. We need to get an estimated head count to the Ramada by Tuesday, May 25th.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

bryters- LIME??? Ok I'll see if there is such a thing in a silk flower- otherwise you want another weird color?

Where is Ann?

you can print it now. Do we need it when picking up our guys after the PIR? Is it only for that day if you're parking in the base or do we need it for the shuttle?
Did you notice we are on the FIRST PAGE now! pretty soon we're going to be moving to the top!

I believe the password is only if you need the parking pass. I went on last night to try and download it but it wasn't available yet but will check tonight when I get home. For some reason I can't access the web site from my work computer.

I have a question. I never have recieved the Navy form letter with the password. I am not driving a car so my question is "do I need the password?". As long as I am listed on the recruits guest list I can get on base ofr PIR --correct or not?

Perhaps but I heard from one mom in a personal email that the boys were getting in trouble by what was written by their RDc's. Jake mentioned it in a letter but then the next one he said it's been handle. I miss the daily communication. But the end is near and I take great comfort in that.....I'll keep you posted ont he USO meeting

Jill - I sent Jamel a note last night about him and his girl friends mom being a part of things. I'll let you know if I hear something. He MAY just respond here first. If I don't hear anything by Weds. or so, I will call him. :)

Whatever I can do to help!!

USO sounds good for us too!
Aldo I think communication is down across the board ...I had tons of work chores and all that good stuff piling up . Perhaps that's what happened in your group too jakesmom.
