This is a Meet and Greet for families of recruits with a Pass-In-Review date of Thursday, May 27, 2010.

The Meet and Greet is sponsored by the Ramada Waukegan-Gurnee as a service to the families of recruits, and occurs on the evening prior to their graduation. Families of recruits in all divisions are welcome to attend, whether or not you're staying there.

The time is 6:00-8:00 PM, and free, hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. For guests registered at the Ramada, you will be given complimentary drink tickets, 2/room (not 2/guest). A cash bar will be available for non-registered attendees. The Ramada will also provide name tags, so we won’t be overly-taxed trying to remember the names of all our new friends!

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP and leave a comment below with the number you’ll have attending. We need to get an estimated head count to the Ramada by Tuesday, May 25th.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Hi ladies, I am not going to the meet and greet, but if someone calls the Concierge at the Ramada maybe they can put together a PIR lise as people check in. Give it a try they may be prepared for that kind of thing or have a suggestions so everyone can meet each other, maybe they can give you a meeting spot.

Just a reminder to keep our blue candles burning!! Also, does any one remember which divisions are doing Battlestations tonight?

Glad to see posts about what people are wearing. I've read the dress can be casual for the PIR, but we're planning to be a little more dressy. The key is to wear really comfortable shoes because there's lots of walking.

As for the M&G, casual is typical. I've seen pictures of some of the others, and most people were in jeans.

Linda- your dress sounds lovely. The blue corsage will go with it I'm thinking.
I will be wearing a black and with a white pattern sleeveless dress to PIR.
Trying to figure out- is the M&G just casual? If so I'll probably have on my 'navy mom' tee shirt I was saving for wearing to GL. And capris. Does anyone know though if we should be a little more 'dressy'?

Did everyone see the list for their color corsage?

Terrie- how are we going to know us N4M's apart from the 'regular' ones coming at the Ramada?

lori, thank you so much for all your hard work making the corsages!

i got a new dress today at ann taylor to wear to the pir. it's a solid light tan sleeveless dress, a very simple cut with a self-fabric belt. it's got a v-neck with a big collar. sounds kinda weird but it's really nice, very tasteful. thinking of wearing a read belt instead of the self-fabric one. figured it'd go great with the royal blue corsage. hmm, can you tell i love fashion?!

what are you wearing?

Tina-
I just read that you are staying at the Comfort INN Waukegan. That is where we are too :) I am the only female traveling with 3 guys [ husband, son, grandson] Kind of scary to think I am responcsible for everything cause my guys are a little scatterbrained! Don't tell them I said that!
Comment by lori on May 24, 2010 at 7:41pm
Ok- i made one extra of each color. But it's just incase I forgot anyone. We are the 'navymomhood' and will stick together!
I love little glue guns! Bring it incase a flower head pops off. I got them all done and the total count is 45 [not including the extras]. Now to figure out how to pack the little things! Do you suppose if I just had them in my carry on I would have some questions asked?

BTW- how is everyone dressing for the M&G?

have a safe trip- and see you soon!
