Event Description

This is a Meet and Greet for families of recruits with a Pass-In-Review date of Thursday, May 27, 2010.

The Meet and Greet is sponsored by the Ramada Waukegan-Gurnee as a service to the families of recruits, and occurs on the evening prior to their graduation. Families of recruits in all divisions are welcome to attend, whether or not you're staying there.

The time is 6:00-8:00 PM, and free, hot hors d'oeuvres will be served. For guests registered at the Ramada, you will be given complimentary drink tickets, 2/room (not 2/guest). A cash bar will be available for non-registered attendees. The Ramada will also provide name tags, so we won’t be overly-taxed trying to remember the names of all our new friends!

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP and leave a comment below with the number you’ll have attending. We need to get an estimated head count to the Ramada by Tuesday, May 25th.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

LOri - I don't know what happened to it. I looked myself this morning but haven't had time to figure out where it is....

Lori - I will be at the M&G, I just meant I can't be there early. I'm excited about meeting everyone. Okay on the flower, I don't care what color. Sorry for the confusion.

Tina I think that might work. If we are seated by our div then surely no one else is going to be wearing on of these 'home made' corsages. I would think it would be easy to spot. And how fun to have a 'mom' come up and say "I'm----"!
It's worth a shot . We have a lot of moms from 200 who WILL be at the M&G so I think we should go for your suggestion.
Does anyone know what happened to the 'after M&G' event? it doesn't come up any more?

For those of us who can't make it to M&G, and getting a flower to us is not possible, could someone from our division wear TWO flowers - their own and one for one of us who can't make the M&G? It would make folks from their div stand out and be easier to find at PIR? Just a thought- Maybe it's so chaotic that that wouldn't be of value.

If it goes on till 8:00 though Denise- just a 'stop' in??? Think about it. I'm going to make you a flower 'just in case'! Unless you REALLY don't think you can come.
And you're not the only one- we've got TXnuke mom in your div and jakesmom though she can't come I'm hoping to figure out a way to get the flower to those moms who can't make it. Maybe pass it to a mom who IS going and if any of our N4M's sees them wearing it as they are sitting in their div they could introduce themselves and get it that way. Just a thought.

I was just kidding. I think I am the only person from 196 so I will just pass on the flower. My flight doesn't get in to O'hare until 4, then I have to go to my hotel so I probably won't be there until it starts. Sorry.

You guys are soooo crafty.

Denise- we'll put you to work if you come early! Terrie and I were thinking around 5 at the Ramada. I'll need help in putting her ribbon on the corsages.
Terrie- that looks right what you put. I'm getting more blues this weekend as the 200 group is larger than any of the others.
So gang- choose the colors left.
And NO lime green!
