OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I am just hoping that he remembers :) He is always been good about that, but I think i used to say Hmmm mothers day is tomarrow :) LOL
Last year I called one of my other sons on MY birthday and said "Happy Birthday! Oh wait, it's not your birthday, it's MINE!" He had forgotten. We both got a big laugh out of it. In fact, it helped him to remember it this year!
Happy Birthday to you Dianne - flowers from your sailor son...wow! There were probably as sweet as when they used to pick them from our flower beds when they were knee high!

Birthdays...come with a year?!!! I don't think so!
I was at work, but came home from work to find my son Taylor planting a rose plant in our yard. He said he wanted me to remember him when he leaves for the Navy. He knew that I was missing Wade.
Ahhhh Ok now this is not suppose to be a crying forum, yet here I am crying 2 touching stroies.
Happy tears, happy tears!
TOO LATE, it was touching. I actually am in trouble today. I am president of SWLA counselors of Louisana and there is a meeting tonight. I forgot that I WAS THE SPEAKER. They reminded me yesterday by email, but I was busy with PreBud and White Castle. The topic was the effects of getting older physically and mentally. How to cope and prepare. I was going to ask you all for advise, but I am older than any of you. My birth certificate was written in Roman Numerals.
Effects of getting older ........... hmmmmm
Ok I have a good one ( true story )
I had a major shoulder surgery 2 years ago, and every time I moved it I would moan a little. My daughter (11 at the time) hounded me .... mom are you ok. Everytime I made that noise. I told her it was ok just a reaction.
Well one day after dinner I got up from the table to put my plate up and it actually hurt my arm, so I moaned. My daughter didnt ask if I was ok........ so I laughingly asked her why she hadnt, She said OH I thought that was just your getting up noise ! WHAT ? I dont make noise when I get up............. well from what she says I do. Thats when I knew I had hit my 40's.
mean children - they just love to point out our creaks!
OMG - know I am going to cry! How sweet is that?!!
Happy birthday to you too. I will share balloons, but not chocolate
Happy Birthday!!
