OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We have a great group from Ft Hood, as we all know Ft Hood takes a very special piece of mine and Sue's heart. This group is in need of some love from home and we are the ladies to send it their way. There are 600 in this group and we will be breaking it down into 3 waves. The First on will start shipping right after Chrismas. Please remember that it is cold in Afghanistan so if you want to include Chocolates in your box go right ahead, just make sure they are in ziplock bags please. Please make sure you send both Sue and I an email with your counts and the wave you would like to ship on, it looks like we got the first one covered.

Miss Birdie, I will put you down for 20 on Wave 2. Thanks for your help.

Let me know if you still need some for wave 3. I could get some done for that one as well.

Thanks Birdie, I will keep you posted

Do we need any other pillowcases for this unit?  I will soon have 35 done.

We will not be needing to do a wave 3 after all.  I would like to see wave 2 start mailing now and finishing on

1-12 if possible.

Maryellen contacted me about a ship last night, and that will start about the 15th or so.

So Lyn, Birdie, Terry D and Terry B could we move you all to the new ship?  Thanks for being flexible ladies!

Sure - just please let me know when!!!  Is there a thread for the new ship yet?

Terry D, Check your email

You can put down that Brenda P, Arlene, Betty F and Gwen have all mailed.
