All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).
Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.
Mask Mandate has been lifted but you are still required to be vaccinated.

Colton is scheduled to graduate no November 12th...Was hoping to hear from him before then! He called twice in one week as well..He called on a Sunday, then again on a Wednesday!! Looking forward to graduation, are they allowed to leave base?
One phone call when he arrived and one when he was asmoed and put into another division, two weeks later he graduated and the calls flooded in, Mom I need my this, this , this, I can have civies, it was great, but I had to have him slow down and learn the terminology I speak better Navy now than I did in July :-)
Cody had 4 calls during basic; the "I'm here" call, one in late May (he left May 12), one in mid June, and then the "I'm a sailor" call after battlestations. After PIR he was allowed to have his phone so lots more calls then. As for leaving base, they can. Most divisions have to be back by a certain time, but they can leave the base. If they have watch they will have to return to base for it, but it's only a few hours. Cody's division had to be in uniform unless they were in a residence during the weekend. Hope that helps.
