This worries me. Should I have my daughter to send her box to my work address because I do not make it home until normally late in the evenings around 7 p.m.
Well that's nice to know that.
We missed FexEx as well. My husband gave me a hard time because I jumped in the car and when to FedEx to pick it up. Fully understand the emotions!
Men are just different than us Moms. :-) We had to be somewhere yesterday or I would have done the same thing. If something goes wrong today and I don't get it I will be driving to FedEx too! Have a great day ladies
Awwww...that would upset me, too!!! It's such a small thing, but I felt like my son was depending on me to get it when it was delivered. To me, it was so important. I got my sons' box Monday, and I had to sign for it. I hope you get it soon!!
Wahoo I got the box! Now waiting on the information letter so I can send all my letters. I don't want my son to think we aren't writing. I do like the idea if your RS saying someone in his group never gets mail to maybe write an extra letter and place it in the same envelope with instructions to give to a random sailor.
So glad you were able to get the box. My letter came yesterday...I already had six cards and letters to mail to him! LOL! I drove straight to the post office and mailed three letters, then waited until last night, drove back up to the post office and mailed the other three. That way, they won't leave all at the same time so maybe they will arrive in two separate mail calls. That's the way my mind was working anyway...my husband says it probably won't split them up lol. I like the idea of the extra letter also, and was going to do that myself, with a letter and a card, and let my son pick who to give them to.
betty boop - the same thing happened to me. It was the worst 24 hours waiting for that box to be delivered again. I was so mad at myself for not leaving a note for fedex to leave the box on the doorstep if nobody was home. My son donated his clothes and shoes so it was just a box with his phone, charger, some change and his chapstick. I cried like a baby when that box finally came. Seems odd now that I think about it, but we are in such an emotional state at the time. I still cry every time I take a teabag out of the cabinet to make myself tea because my son made himself a cup of tea every single morning before he went to work. Hang in there. We are all here for you.
I cried too. Its so funny how emotional we become when they go to boot camp. He is on my mind 24/7. All you can think about is how is it going, is he hungry, tired, etc. I am so grateful for this site and the wonderful people. Hope your day is great! :)
