My fiance is in class 14-10. I got to talk to him for about 5 minutes last night and he's already lost his voice! They have to yell everything at the top of their lungs! I'm in the Navy also and I'm so used to being the one who leaves! I'm the one who has to tell everyone else not to worry, so its really weird being on the other side of it!

GO NAVY!!!!!!!!!!!! So proud my son is a part of this amazing branch!!

Navyboyfriend we are thinking of you and your LO and praying for all good things!!
Many prayers have gone out for this amazing group for today's RLP.
thank you, ProfM! Do you think it is already over?
Yeah. They probably never went to bed last night. I know my son's last RLP - he put the finishing touches on the room at 2:30am, including starching and ironing his sheets onto the bed, then layed down on a PT mat until 4:45am. Up to dress, and lint-rolled the floor before he walked out the door to chow. (yep, you heard right - he lint rolled the floor. I sent 4 extra lint rollers to him the week of RLP) Back to dress for inspection and await the DI's. During inspection they do a variety of physical and mental exercises - He did rifle drills standing on his rack (bed) singing Anchor's Aweigh at the top of his lungs for one inspection!
oh thank you. We believe our son passed today.. :)
Hope you get your phone call tomorrow, Helene. No crying until after, and be ready w/ pencil and paper to see what he will need for for you to send. Include a couple bags of Ricola and Halls breezers for that raw throat. Can't have cough drops, but throat lozenges are ok, they can eat them after Taps. They can buy them at the NEX. I got a variety of flavors - they eat them like potato chips!
WHOOHHOO!! Chris was one of the 7, outta 46 that passed RLP Thursday. We cannot be more proud of him! Plus a LONG phone call just made my week! ahhh...I can breath a little easier
You got a phone call today or Thursday? My daughter is in Delta, in 14-10. We are just praying that she passed. When do they get a second chance at passing?
Called today, they weren't allowed to call Thursday. So we had no clue if he passed or not until this evening. If they fail Thursday, they did it today again. If you haven't gotten a call yet (especially earlier today) she passed.
Thanks for the comment. That's exactly what I said to my husband. I thought if we hadn't received a call, she must have passed. Maybe tomorrow we'll get a call.
so excited to hear that our son was one of the 7 who passed Thursday night. We are so thankful to Jenn, his fiancee, for including us on that long 30 minutes of talking to Chris in a conference call!
We are PROUD of all the Charlie CO's!! Wooho!
James was one of the 7 who passed too! How cool is it that 2 of the 7 are roommies! :) I only got to talk to him for 1 minute today cause i was at work and snuck away to answer my phone that I hid in my clothing. haha. But James asked where I was and what time he could call tomorrow. The last thing i asked was "did everything go okay this week?" His responce was "yes, we both passed". LOL. that made my day. I can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow evening when he calls!
