Recruits are usually given about 2 weeks in FIT (Fitness Improvement Training) to meet the requirements.
Think positive: 93% of Recruits sent to FIT eventually succeed. The Navy has too much invested in them to allow then to fail.
I agree the navy does have a lot invested in them already, I just don't know if two weeks is going to be enough to get her from 35 to 50 sit-ups. This is her dream and what she has wanted for years just want to see her succeed at it. I have all the confidence in the world in her she is just making that right now. Tried to get her to understand that she needed to be in shape going intonthi basic she just would not listen.
If she shows the heart and desire they'll work with her, I didn't say it would be easy but she'll get it done...............
It does not need to be easy, I know her and I am sure she is more down on herself for being in this situation. She loves a challenge and hates not winning.
What PIR group is your daughter in? I'm assuming 9/11? I bet she will get it done. They really want her to succeed and will do all that they can to push her to get it done. It is amazing how much many of them drop in their run times in a short period of time, so she can do the same in the situps! Each of the SRs has to pass their 3rd and final PFA in order to do BattleStations and become sailors....she will have up until her BattleStations day to pass and if not, she will call home and tell you she may not graduate. But she actually will have more chances before PIR depending on when her BattleStations night is. Even if she doesn't do it by her graduation date, she will remain in FIT and get about 10-12 more chances to pass. Once she does, she does Battlestations and may have a short Liberty, and then heads to A School, no PIR once she misses her own. Prayers for your daughter that she pushes hard and gets it done!
PIR is 9/4, she called today saying She has test tomorrow that she plans on passing and then she has a test on Wednesday if all else fails. If she passes either of them she can do battle stations and graduate. She is down in the dumps right now ffornot passing the first time, mad at herself. My flight is Tuesday I am hoping to get that call saying she is a sailor that day while I am in Chicago.
Praying that she passes Miasdad!
Praying and cheering for your daughter to graduate with the rest!!! She's going to be victorious!!!
