Well, I got the call...My son is going to FIT. I'll be honest, I'm pissed about that scripted call. It's only 30 seconds, he was sobbing his eyes out, and he had to say "I will not be going to PIR, don't come, you can't see me." I'm absolutely heartbroken and start crying everytime I think of how sad he is. And as a mom, there is NOTHING I can do cry emoticon

She will be allowed to reenlist though, after 6 months

I read that somewhere on here, hopefully she will be interested because she will have to complete the entire boot camp over.  If she is still interested then, we both can  take a swim class together to keep her motivated. She can work on the prone and I can work on the basic swimming.

Hey what part did your son fail?  I think they get other chances to try and pass prior to PIR. Have you heard from him since Thursday?

He failed the running, by a minute. I know they have ten tries, and if my calculations are correct, he's already had two, possibly three tries already. Not hearing from him and about his progress is really starting to panic me lol

Trust me I do understand, havent heard from mines since Jan 14, when he made the scary call, hope we hear something soon :(

Can they still get mail while in fit
They can! Look under the files section for the correct address. What part did your sr fail?

I too received the same call from my son. I cried out of sheer frustration with the scripted call, although I understand why it's kept scripted and short, doesn't mean I like it, lol....he called 2 days later and had about 10 min to talk, a little more relaxed conversation, well as much as possible w/someone standing behind him giving him a count down.

I got the same call from my daughter. I haven't stopped crying yet. She was 40 seconds short on her run. I will be glued to my phone the next couple of days praying that she passes her last chance before pir. My heart goes out to all the families in the same situation. I'm praying for all of you.

Hey all! I got "That call" on January 29th!  Worst call ever. My SR Daughter is still in FIT as I type this with 4 runs left due to medical issues on and off. I have been in some other groups on FB but most of the folks in there have moved out of FIT in one way or another so there are very few to talk to about everything.

ladylariet72...my daughter is in FIT and made her 4th try at the run and missed it by 3 seconds. She had a meltdown and the next thing i get a call - and not a nice one- from an officer in FIT with her in his office. He was REALLY hard on her and it broke my heart in ways i didn't know it could break. Now i can't sleep and my mind is going a million miles a minute. It's the waiting game now. I pray she gets herself together and passes tomorrow. I wish i could talk to her and i know i would feel better. How far is your daughter away from passing. How are you holding up? I will keep you both in my prayers!
Hi this is sis I am so sorry for the heartache. I felt so bad for my daughter while she was in fit! They think they are the biggest failures. It is so far from the truth. It's very hard to hear someone putting your hero down. I told my daughter to pray and think very hard on what it takes to pass her run. Your daughters are so close to passing their run. It will come this week! I will pray for you and for all in fit.
