For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

no rails except in the front, they put the handicap ie, wheelchairs on the floor. First come first seat so get their early and just sit in the front. That is so sweet of her but she should not miss this. Have a ball, it is a GREAT DAY!

Dennis is a Grad and Go. HIs last letter and call said he will leave RTC at 2 a.m. Saturday morning for the airport (which one unknown at this point) for Charleston for 'Nuc' School. He has been told he will have a short liberty after graduation and since we are local will come home for a few hours. He will need to be back on ship at 7 p.m. I am hoping they will allow me
to come to the airport to see him before he flys out.

My grandparents also have difficulty getting around, contact the PAO (Public Affairs Officer) at GL, she was a great help in finding a way for my grandparents to be there, including a handicap parking pass so they didn't have to walk a long way from the parking area to the PIR hall. She said that in the handicap seating area on the floor level they can only have one person sitting with them. She found other arrangements for my grandparents that will work well with our particular situation.

I let my mom decide and she does not want to use the wheel chair like she does for Cubs games. I really think she wants Dennis to see her standing tall at PIR. We will honor her wishes and make it happen.
