While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Guam is football theme
another member is in Ohio right now and I emailed her to see if she can get Buckeye and Bengal fabric. Lyn has the Steelers covered and a sailor's mom is getting U of Georgia..
SO, if any of you live in a state that I haven't named, and would like to mail me some fabric, I will make a pillowcase for them. And the sooner the better, as I have a craft fair at the end of the month I need to work on. I need anywhere from 1/4 to 1 yard. your choice. If you just get 1/4 yard, I will make a banded one.
This is exciting! I do have other football fabric and Lyn has some too, but if we can make it specific, that would be better. My son said "mom, anything personal is awesome, but I know that is hard to do." And here, Sarah drops that opportunity into our laps.

Thanks Barbara! even a bandana would work. We only need 1 of those.
By the way, the count for this group is 28, not 20. Lyn confirmed that for me. Thank you. I counted up the pillowcases for each team and found it was 28 and I thought who is on here 2 x's? But there are 28 people.
and one of the sailors' mom is going to get the U of Georgia fabric for me.
This is really fun.
And no distinctly female, unless we can't get their teams. They are the Detriot Lions and the Oakland Raiders. -

Sorry, I haven't gotten back to you yet (crazy-busy weekend) ....YES, I will take care of the Bills pillowcase!! I found the material but not sure if it's enough, so I have something that will color-coordinate with it. Now to put it all together.
I have some other things Bills that my son would like to send (because he's a Bills fan also). It's great getting my other kids involved with this!

Hey, Carolyn thanks. And that's what we do-we just piece it together to get it to fit. That's how that navy seal one is made.
I just a couple of Army ones and one is really pieced-bad cutting I guess.

Sue, live smack in the middle of the Chicago Bears county. They're training camp is 7 minutes from my house. Do you need any fabric for Da Bears? I'd be happy to send you some. :)

Kimmy, yes please do. I haven't heard back from my friend that I had given the rest of my Bears fabric too. I gave it to her serveral months ago cause her family was such big fans. So it's probably been used.
Or do you just want to make one and mail to the Guam group? Are you planning to mail anything else to them?
However you want to do it is fine with me. -

Another fabric update. Ohio is taken care of. We have the 49er's thanks to Cathy. I went this morning and all Joanns' had besides AZ teams, was the Steelers. Cracked me up. I didn't buy it.
Carolyn, did you find the Bills fabric at home? Any Oakland moms here? We have 6 raiders fans. Even a bandana would work.

I have the Steeler fabric for those two and the Detroit Lions fabric is in the mail. Plus the pillowcase for the Fresno State Bulldogs. So I've got 4 of the 28. Is that right? My brain is fried between the Guam group, the delayed return of the Miami and trying to get the basement renovation started. For now my sewingroom is temporarily in a small bedroom.

oops, I had them backwards. good eye. It is 6 Raiders and 1 Rams.
Barbara, any word on the Sea Hawks?
And, Larkin added 1 more sailor, but no word on what she likes. She is pregnant, so not currently on the ship. Her husband works there too and he likes hunting. I happen to have a deer one on hand. and they are having a baby boy soon, named Hunter. I'll make him a football bib.
Then I have think they are all covered. I'll double check though. -
