Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello Nan, Welcome to the site. You can call your local Drivers Lic office and ask them how to handle this. My husband found that it is different in every state. We spent 20 years in the Navy.Your office might also have a website that you can renew it online for him or at least get the needed info. Good Luck to you!

We have been in the same situation. Not only does his drivers license need to be renewed but so does his car. His car is in Washington and no one would inspect it for Missouri, and hes now on his way to Iraq so I dont know what he will do . His tags will be expired when he gets back.

I was told about this site from a poster on an AOL message board. I had been asking a lot of questions on the message boards and even though some were helpful they just didnt understand. I even went to a navy spouse message board and that was a big mistake. Some on the board were very nice but a few had no idea that being a wife and being a mother is different. They would say things like "Hes a man now, let him get his own informtion or if he wanted you know Im sure he would tell you, just cut the apron strings." Here I was with my son leaving for Iraq and they were making it sound like he had no feelings for me and wanted me out of his life. Im am so thankfull for the poster on the AOL message board for giving me the info on this board. I had googled looking for a message board but didnt find anything at the time. I sure wish I had known about this when he was in boot camp.

This a community where our Navy Moms and Navy SO's (Significant others... IE girl friends, wives, etc...)
canmust work together. We support not only moms but loved ones of sailors on this site. We all join this site because we love our sailors... :D

Welcome to our N4M family. This website was formed in the early part of this year and has been a godsend for me. Although my son entered the Navy in August of last year (hard to believe it has been almost a year already) when I found this site it was a wonderful relief. There are wonderful, knowledgable women and some great dads, who are able to answer just about any question anyone could have, or know who to refer us to for the answer. We will be thrilled to add you to our experienced mom list and although I am not the official welcoming committee I would love to say welcome!

I found it when I was doing a google search for graphics for a page, I want to support Justin while he's away. And be supportive to my daughter as well. And I too, was on the Great Lakes page trying to find out information, about what he'll be doing the next 8 weeks while in boot camp. Thanks, for being here. It certainly helps!
