Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Graduation Ceremony Guest Policy
The recruit graduation ceremony is a ticketed event. Tickets will be issued at the Recruit Family Welcome Center, located at the Navy Exchange. The Recruit Family Welcome Center is open Wednesday [1:00 PM to 6:00 PM], Thursday [10:00 AM to 6:00 PM], and Friday [5:30 AM to 8:00 AM].

How can we get our tickets if my sons PIR is on Wednesday and we aren't getting there till Tuesday afternoon?

Actually, how does anybody know for certain when the graduation date is even after they get to boot camp, I mean, the day before they graduate they could get hurt and held back right?

No, once they pass Battle Stations and are "capped" there is nothing that can set back thier graduation date. They may miss their PIR due to some catastrophe, but will ship out as soon as they recover. 

Graduations (PIR) are on Friday's

The PIR for Thanksgiving week will be on Wednesday, 22 November. The Graduation the week of Veterans Day is on Thursday, 9 November

Will we get times to pick up tickets for Wednesday graduation? I have not seen anything on this yet for PIR of 11/22.

They are posted. I know Tuesday is from 10:00-6:00pm. I believe Wednesday morning is 5:30am-8:30am

Over the next month we will have several graduations that do not fall on a Friday due to federal holidays. Please be aware these graduations will affect the hours of operation for the Recruit Family Welcome Center. For the November 9 graduation, the Welcome Center will be open Tuesday [1:00 PM to 6:00 PM], Wednesday [10:00 AM to 6:00 PM], and Thursday [5:30 AM to 8:00 AM]; for the November 22 graduation, the Welcome Center will be open Monday [1:00 PM to 6:00 PM], Tuesday [10:00 AM to 6:00 PM], and Wednesday [5:30 AM to 8:00 AM]. Thank you.
