For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Is it possible to have missed call that graduation is delayed for my SR
I am new to this sight and my SR is suppose to graduate Friday July 12. I know that his division has done Battlestations and heard that everyone in his division that did it passed. I have not received any phone calls since early June and the only mail from him has been the form letter. I know that no news is good news, but is there a way to be sure he is graduating before I make a 16 hour drive. I do not want to miss graduation and I was listed on the form letter as one of his guest. Just makes me nervous to travel that far with so little communication. I have checked every message place I could think of and found no missed calls or messages. If he was delayed would they allow him to call another phone if all he got was a voice mail? Sorry, This is just stressing me out and looking for advice.

You would already be aware if your SR was not graduating. On the paperwork you received for graduation there should be a phone number. Give them a call and explain that you have to drive 16hrs & need to confirm that he's graduating.

You can email the PAO at rtc.pao@navy.mil and they should be able to confirm his status for you, but if no one has received a call indicating a problem, then everything is on schedule for him to have PIR on time. So far those in Divisions 257 to 260 have gone through BST; if he is in a different division, then you need to wait because he has not gone through yet and the call is still to come. There are times that a Sailor does not make the "I'm a Sailor!" call for various reasons. No news is still good news. I talk about that at the bottom of Phone Cards and Phone Calls within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). You may want to join that group while you are there and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) as well.
You can join PIR 07/12/2013 TG 35 – 9 Divisions (257-264, and 935) to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.

Thank you I read that post earlier today, I am just a worrier and was looking for reassurance. He is in Division 257. I knew when he left that he wasn't much of a letter writer and wish he would have sent a small note saying all is fine and on track ( I even sent him stamps) but I love him anyways. I have always told him that getting info from him is like pulling teeth, LOL. This will be over soon and I can't wait to see him. Just checking if anyone ever showed up for graduation because they missed a message/call about being delayed.

No one has posted about going after not hearing anything and being turned away that I am aware of, but a few have posted that they went because they did not receive a call stating there was a problem and they did have a Sailor and all was well.
