OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The next 2 Saturday's work for me.
Sat. March 27th is good choice. The next Sat. is Easter weekend, and lots of church work and people on vacation is my guess?? Let me know, everyone. If so, then a time like 11 AM is usually good.
Next Saturday works for me.(27th)
i could do a this saturday, or the weekend after easter.
Is the Meet & Greet a go? Where are we meeting?
OK--here's the deal. Time has gotten away from me. I ended up doing some catering work for a senior's (as in senior citizen) prom night that another school district is sponsoring. So, my day I had planned to be working at home was used that way.
Here's how we did our first meet & greet. Three of us who had never met privately messaged each other and sent our cell phone numbers. We then agreed upon a spot. It was not hard to pick each other out--must have been that almost deer in the headlight looks upon our faces. We just told each other what kind of clothes we would be wearing, and met at a predetermined time.
So, if you want to meet tomorrow, I would suggest those who are interested pm the others and then decide where you want to meet and what time. Otherwise, with my fund raisers, I am now into June sometime to get Mt. Vernon and see my sis-in-law. (yes, bring your family and friends.) We brought pictures and letters from our sailors and ended up with a three hour lunch.
Hope this helps.
It doesn't matter to me. What does everyone else want to do? Now or later are both fine with me.
So Carol are you going to be able to meet? It seems like Becky and I are able to meet. But i would rather drive an hour to meet with at 2 other people.
I'm by Fairview Heights (actually closer to Edwardsville) and will not be able to spend the time right now on the road plus long lunch (that would be about 3 hours driving and 2-3 hours for lunch.) But you guys should try and meet sooner if possible.
I would like to meet others also I can wait
becaue something came up for me tomorrow
Carol and all - I don't get on here as often as I used to (not to mention I just got my new computer after a 2.5 month stint without)... but I would love to take part in this M&G.

Carol, keep me posted and I might be able to get the American Legion Hall... and maybe we could do something like a potluck get together?

Just a thought, if cost is a factor for anyone.
Michele, That is a nice idea.
