Hello Everyone! It is my privilege to choose our March Group! First, though, I must extend hearty anniversary wishes to Navy for Moms.com! Yesterday I consulted with my "posse" who write letters and add to the boxes every month. They are ages 2 through 11. We looked at maps and anysailor. We are going to Kuwait this mont

I know that I have big shoes to fill considering my excellent predecessors but I pray you will all join me in showering these brave sailors with some N4M love! Pat

What did ya'll decide about the bike or bikes?
Peggy, I think we're kind of in limbo. Can't figure out how to get a bike in the box size limitation.
Pat L. I like that idea of buying a bike (s) from the NEX or PX and let the guys pick it up.
Has there been a tally done to count how many boxes have been sent?
I have sent 2 so far.
Peggy, As far as I can tell, 42 boxes plus the Central Florida group (didn't see a number for them).WOOHOO! YIPPEEE!! HOORAY!!! WE ROCK!!!!!!!
Okay Diane and all our Central Florida Mommies - I have been gone for a while and come back to see you are back to playing and packing up a storm again. What great pics Diane and it sure looks like you all had fun. You are all so amazing and loving and caring and and and and - okay ran out of really great words for you, but I bet Juan and his team will have some really soon. This whole group of Navy Moms are the best on the N4M site hands down :>)
Good morning! As most of you know, Molly is offline as she is visiting her sailor for some much needed family time. :) But I still talk to her bit. I have been filling her in on all the packages being sent and fowarding the emails and comments to her. She is sending her big hugs and wows to you all, as well as her "good job!". She is extreemly excited that our group was mentioned in the news and picked up by the Navytimes, and equaly excited about the girlscouts and girlscout cookies that our troop leader/navy mom Kelly is going to share. Rumor has it that she will be getting to visit with a couple of our son's from the group. :) More infor or photos on that when she gets back to the computer.

I know that Molly is having the time of her life!! Tell her we miss her though.
I sure will Pat :)
Hi all,
I finally got to see my Kuwait contact at the church picnic today. She said the Army base has 2 huge PXs there, so it would depend on what base our group is at. She thought she had the phone number for someone still stationed there. She said she'd look for it today and let me know tomorrow.

What I specifically asked was this: was there a way that we as a group could buy a bike(s) directly from the PX and have the sailors just pick it up there? Juan mentioned that the PX carries them, so that might be the most sensible way to do it. And save the postage money.

so I guess if anyone is still interested in doing this, you should let Pat L know?

I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from her.
Sue, First of all, I am in total support of getting bike(s). If we use the cookbook money for our monthly gift, Molly and Mary are in charge of that. If we all want to chip in for a bike, we have to work that out.
I am curious if this bike will go to/for Juan or if it will be something that all 30 will be able to share.
Sue just say the word and we're on board with you and the bikes!
