OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Marines CLB 6
My nephew is in this group of marines (stands for Combat Logistics Battalion) and they will be deployed soon.
The total number needed 700: 36 females, 664 males.
We will be mailing in waves to the different companies. Once I get the breakdown of numbersby company, we will decide on the mailing dates. At this point in time, it looks like we will start in late August with a very small possibility of a late July mailing.
Watch for further details. And ladies, "start your machines".

CAMP LEATHERNECK, Afghanistan - Lt. Cmdr. yes that's the standard size that we use. some make them bigger and that's okay too.
I get them in all sizes and shapes.

Hi Ladies -
What are the fabric dimensions for the "fancy" banded PCs? The one I made yesterday came out too short (28"), so I went back to the one piece ones. I'd still like to try some banded ones though.

Annie, I think you came up short because you forgot to add 1/2 inch to each strip to account for the seam allowances. Do that and you should be OK. With a single band you only need to add 1/4 inch to the band and the body of the pillowcase. Good luck.

I received my pillow case today via my chaplain, and I absolutely love it! I had the chance to go through several and I picked the American one with the ship. I want you to know I truly appreciate the time you took to make and send these. I know as a woman it makes it feel a little more like home. never feel like the things you do go unappreciated because we need the pick me ups from home. We see a lot of ugly in the world, and what you do brings happiness. You will be blessed.... Thanks again

It is so nice to hear that you are still encouraging our troops even though your son has gotten out. It means so much to us all. It’s funny how a pillow case can make you feel just a little closer to home. I will keep my pillowcase forever and will always remember and appreciate your kindness. Thank you from one of the Marines-Turns out he is my nephew's commander and he got one of my pillowcases!! Small World!Ma’am,Thank you so much for the handmade John Deere pillowcase. It is the little things we have that remind us of home after a long day, and this pillowcase will certainly do the trick. Not to mention that it is a fair bit more comfortable that what I have right now. All I have to offer in return is a simple “thank you”, but it is a thank you echoed a thousand times over by my fellow Marines.Semper Fi,Sxxx Bxxxxx
