Molly had the GREAT idea to send some N4M love to some of our military that are "hurting".
I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!

From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.

If you know of someone in the military "hurting" and needing a "special hug" - PM me (Brenda Sue) the address and I'll post it in our "special place." I do ask that you keep us updated on the condition or change of address of anyone that has a lingering need.

OK - Mom's let's get this ball on the roll!!

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them. Go to MAS We Ship Love (Click Here) for the addresses. This is a private group - just ask to be a member and after you have been "checked out" - the powers that be accept you!

Please use the labels designed in the "Shipping Labels" discussion so they will be easily recognized!!

You can either print these on stickers or just tape them to the envelopes. If neither is possible, just write Molly's Adopt a Sailor on the envelope - so they know where they are coming from.

Just wanted to pass along some sad news. A young Marine from my hometown was killed on Thurs. His name is Christopher Hrbek and he was only 26. Please keep his family in your prayers. Thank you.
will do carolyn k....so sad for their families. Thanks for passing on the info.
I re-mailed to Cory today. Thanks Jenny for his address!
We have a new NEED! Here is his story!
Nicholas is 82nd Airborne, 1-508th, A Company; he is a mortarman. He
was on a mission in Afghanistan in early January; there was a five
Humvee convoy. The soldiers were exiting a village and returning back
to a FOB (forward operating base). Nicholas was a passenger in the
fifth Humvee; it made contact with an IED (improvised explosion
device). There were five men total in this Humvee. Thankfully there
were no casualties. Some of the other soldiers did have minor
injuries; back hurting and mild concussions. Nicholas was medivacted
to a field hospital were he was given lifesaving surgery.

Nicholas has several injuries. We have been told he is lucky to be
alive due to the amount of blood loss, and internal bleeding. He was
transfused several times. He has a mild TBI (traumatic brain injury).
His left arm was broken in several places above and below the elbow;
the elbow was also damaged. His left upper leg was broken. He had a
compound fracture on his lower right leg. This wound is still open;
he will require a skin graft to close this. He had three areas of his
spine that caused concern, C spine, T and lumbar regions. The C spine
was cleared once the swelling went down after approximately ten days.
His T4 vertebra sustained a "burst fracture". His spine was fused
with rods & screws from the T2 to T6. His left lung and kidney each
had a "contusion"; but both should recover. The spleen was removed.

Right now Nicholas is beginning the painful process of physical and
occupational therapy. He is in a lot of pain, but 'soldiering' on.
His spirits remain high and he will accept nothing but a full
recovery. Our family is thankful for all or the love, prayers,
support and kindness from everyone.

Now, you know where to go get the address!! Come on Moms - lets uplift this poor kid!!!
