Hello ladies! There has been some chatter about our Meet & Greet. The Ramada puts it on regardless if we choose to attend or not, from what I understand. There have also been many mixed reviews about the quality of it lately. Please let us know what you think, what you have heard, any suggestions, etc. We want to be able to have a great time with each other!! Let's start talking...we shouldn't wait til the last minute to decide.

Meet & Greet: My 'recon' work hasn't resulted in much new information. I contacted the AmVet group but haven't heard anything back.

I wonder if the Ramada has made some 'good' changes as someone in the last PIR said their M&G was ok at the Ramada. Anyone hear anything else?

It is difficult to coordinate something like this long distance, though! Perhaps we can all check the hotels where we have reservations, and see what kind of 'meeting' space is available and if it's 'open' for Oct 7th? I'll check out the Courtyard by Marriott and let you know.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else.
Hi all, I have booked at the Ramada, however, I am having reservations about this choice after Lydia's comments on her stay. Any thoughts? Anyone else booked there or heard anything about a better place to stay? I know we are all trying to help eachother. I chose it for the meet and greet.
brittanysmom~Read the reviews on the Ramada's website. We were originally going to stay there because of the M&G, but after reading all the reviews and comments on here from all the Navy4Moms, we decided against it. A lot of negative reviews. I still plan to attend the M&G if it is still being held there, I'm just choosing to stay at the Residence Inn instead.
We are also staying at the Residence Inn. I read all reviews and to me this sounded like the best place to stay. Would like to try and make it to the Ramada for the M & G.
Does anyone know right away what TIME the meet & greet is held @ Ramada? Haven't seen anyone else staying @ LaQuinta, it's a few minutes farther away, but I'm going to ask them to put up a whiteboard or sign in sheet for other PIR guests, hoping to be able to connect w/ some people!

So it sounds to me like we're pretty much all planning on meeting @ the Ramada & seeing what happens from there - correct? Should be quite a turn out! There's 101 of us on our 10/08/10 page, then add spouses & kids - holy cow! Hope they're ready!
I just called the Ramada, the meet and greet is begins at 6 and runs through 8pm on Thursday 10.7.2010.
So-o-oo... Meet & Greet: are we dressing up or dressing comfy?
You never know! :-) I'm leaning toward the t-shirt idea! But we'll see - it'll be so wonderful to actually meet everyone! Hugs galore I am sure! Time is flying, it'll be here before we know it!
I will be going but w/my Sister in law and my daughter...I don't want to leave them @ the hotel while I party w/you girls.....lol.....What time is the Meet n Greet @ 7pm or 730pm? My flight arrives @ 530pm so by the time I hit Ramada Inn for the Meet n Greet it will be around 715pm or so....3 weeks ladies...Can you believe it!
Woo-Hoo!
Sounds great Ramada 6pm Thursday Oct 7th!!! See you all there!
Starts @ 6:00? Some great planner I am - thanks Navywife!! Holy cow - I get to meet you all up to an hour sooner! Sweet! :-)
