My son is on his way home. Terribly excited. Wanting to make everything perfect. This is hard since I had 5 surgeries in 18 mths. My husband keeps telling me to chill that he will probably just sleep on the couch like he did when he was a teen (instead of his bed). As excited as I am, I know soon he will be leaving again for overseas and it could be at least a year or more before he is home again. Such is the life of a Navy Mom. We are proud, excited, scared and sad all rolled into one.

Enjoy your time together :)...it's very difficult to not look behind and ahead when time is so short and unpredictable but try :)
I will. Thank you so very much. I hope all is well with your sailor.

Sinda, Cherish each moment with your sailor!  I know exactly what you are saying about getting everything perfect.  My daughter will be coming home in 3 1/2 weeks and I will be doing the same thing before she comes home.  That's what us Moms do.  Fortunately for me she will be going to Jacksonville,FL for the next 3 years.  Will you be able to go see your son overseas?  Godspeed to your son and to all our sailors.  Hooyah!

My son just left Kings Bay base in GA. It is an hr out of Jacksonville FL. I hope to go see him overseas, it really depends on my health. He will be heading to Bahrain. My sailor is excited about going. I have always wanted to travel and see the world. Now if all goes well I will have a great reason to do that. Enjoy your sailor when she comes home. I know that I sleep alot better when mine is home. Thanks for your support.

Have you considered a "Welcome Home"  banner.  Hubby is probably right because friends are married, working or in the service.....................good luck.

Beautiful!  God bless your son all of his days!

hello!

congrats on your sailor coming home!!  enjoy and give him a big hug from all of us!!

Thanks I already have. He spent one day with us...now the hanging with friends has started. Is this normal?

Our daughter had two tours at the Bahrain's Navy Comm center.  Bahrain is the safest place in the Gulf region. Place your order for the items you want from Dubai..................

Not sure what to have him get from Dubai. Just saw that a set of sheets were from Bahrain!

Gold..........weekends hops are plentiful. Our daughter went there ten times.......

Thanks
