My younger son and I got to watch his older brother swear in at MEPS this morning.  What a wonderful experience it was. I am beaming with joy and tears at the same time while awaiting his phone call sometime tonight. I can't wait to hear his voice!

Thanks lemonelephant! How do I find out? I have the form letter right next to me and it says 11/23. This is stressing me out

Don't stress out.  The form letter is WRONG.  I emailed the PAO at the RTC and received the following reply:

Ma'am,

The Thanksgiving graduation will take place on Wednesday, 21 November.

Respectfully,

If you have made reservations, change them so you don't miss PIR!  I emailed him to inform him that I know of at least 3 moms who received the form letter with the incorrect date, so I am certain it will be addressed if it hasn't already.

Thanks that eased my mind a bit. I haven't made reservations yet . I've just researched airfare, train fare, etc. Trying to coordinate everything. Its quite overwhelming.

Just take it a little at a time.  (((((bayoukat110))))) that's a cyber hug from one Navy Mom to another.

Thanks I feel the love

:o)

I agree it is very overwhelming.. but well worth it

did you get the letter

Oh gosh I am waiting for my firm letter for my son who left 9/23, I hope he does not graduate on 11/23 as I have to work and who is going to replace me on thanksgiving, ok I am crying nowo

His PIR date could be 11/16/2012 or 11/21/2012.  It all depends on when his division filled.  You will just have to wait for the form letter (and if it says 11/23/2102, know that it is wrong and PIR is on Wednesday 21 November).

yes it says 11/23? and i just told his grandma and aunts that, and am making plans for that date, so its 9/21, that is going to be a big problem at work for me, please help me pray that it is not!

PIR Thanksgiving week is Wednesday, 21 November.  See http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp.
