Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My child is interested in joining the Navy; dealing with a recruiter now...Any information is helpful she will be graduating high school next month with her Associates Degree through the community college dual enrollment program. Any information will be appreciated!!

What kind of information do you want? There is so much here. Hard to send you in a direction not knowing just what you want. Is she wanting to go in as a Officer or Enlisted?

Hello Denise,

To my understanding is that she need her a Bachelor's Degree in order to go in as an Officer...is that information correct??. She would like to be an Officer because she would like to become a dentist. Any information that you can offer her since we are still at the recruiting portion will be helpful.

You need to tell the recruiter that she beleives she meets the "Advanced Paygrade Program".  In other words, bring her transcripts.

030702. CRITERIA FOR ADVANCED PAYGRADE
a. College Credits
(1) Criteria. Persons who have satisfactorily completed 24 semester hours or 36
quarter hours of college credits may be enlisted in paygrade E2. Applicants who have
satisfactorily completed 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credits may
be enlisted in paygrade E3. College credits earned via classroom, online, or distant
learning must be from a U.S. community college, college, or university accredited
for postsecondary education and listed in the Accredited Institutions of Post
Secondary Education published by the American Council on Education. Remedial
courses are NOT authorized for use in determining whether an applicant qualifies
for Advanced Paygrade.


(2) Verifying Eligibility. Either official transcripts or student copy transcripts may
be used to verify advanced paygrade eligibility providing there is no evidence of any
transcript tampering. A degree issued by an institution listed in the Education Directory
of Accredited Institutions (such as Associate, Bachelor, etc.) may be used to verify
completion of the required credit hours. If the applicant is enlisted as a HSDG based on
satisfactory completion of 15 semester/22 quarter hours, the hours cannot also be
applied to advanced paygrade.

If you google Navy Medical Officer Programs (or any combination of these keywords - you'll find many sites). Be sure to talk to a recruiter who is trained to work with officer candidates.
