Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My son left yesterday the 25th of June. We are in AZ also, where are you at??? We received our call last night at 6:50 pm. We are so very proud also!

They tried to deliver his box today...I was gone. Hoping the letter is in the mail tomorrow!!!!

I'm sorry you missed "the box" and didn't have a note on the door for the FedEx driver. At least you will get it tomorrow. Tomorrow is a little early for the form letter--10 days after arrival is average.

The Form Letter contains the address and PIR date. "The box" comes then The Form Letter and later a "real" letter. See Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.

I got the Fed Ex note on my door today too! I was hoping it was this things and the information to be able to write him. If it's just this things, hopefully we will get the letter by the end of the week.
