What job is your husband joing to go to school for? If his school is in GL, than after PIR he will have a little time with you, than go back to his barracks get his gear and go across the street and check in, check in can take up to 5 hours. After he checkes in he will be given liberty every day, but be required to be back on base by a certain time. BUT...he will have to walk back to his barracks on the base, so make sure he is there early. IF his school is out of state, than there is a chance he will leave early on Sat morning.
It is correct there is no PDA while in uniform (and they are required to be in uniform). After PIR, you can give them a hug and kiss...no 20 min smooch though. Also you can't hold hands, kiss, or hug while out in town. He will know how you are to be escorted while out in town, it is where he puts his arm out for you to hold.
When did your husband leave for bootcamp? Mine left yesterday, and is also going to Pensacola for A school. I did not know anything about the PDA?!? Which will be ok for me, but do you think that will apply to guys hugging their kids?? I don't know if my 5 year old daughter will understand or be able to control herself! :)
No one is going to stop a child from huging their daddy, and dang if they do please smack them for me. (I didn't say that out loud did I )
(a little side note, don't tell, My hubby kisses me when I am in unifrom and he drops me off at work.)
I agree! My husband will be all about following the rules, but there's nothing that will come between him and his little girls!
thank you so much!
