I've been conversing with some OCS moms who have been very helpful and I appreciate all of the information as my LO gets ready to enter OCS on May 9th (mother's day no less).  I learned that there's a new group every 3 weeks so if I've got it right and the March 28th group is 16-10, then May 9th must be 18-10.  I'm learning so much and curious if anyone has someone starting May 9th. The date is fast approaching!!

Thank you for the suggestions! We will be taking today to get these items, and then he will leave tomorrow. I appreciate all your input! He was glancing at some of your comments yesterday, and his comment was, "Start a group for us ASAP" So any starting on May 30th, here we begin! Also, the university expedited his degree to his transcript, so THANKS!
Good luck to you. My son is in H class and hoping to roll into 19-10! I started the 18-10 group as soon as I figured out the dates! You are 19-10 so go ahead and start the group. If all goes well, I'll be there too (along with the 18-10 mom's because they've been so helpful and unfortunately, may wind up in 19-10 as well! It's great that your LO wants you to be a part of N4M's. My son directed me to the site and I haven't gone a day without checking into it or asking for information or support.... especially when he went into H Company!!
Don't expect to hear from him for a while. That's been a surprise for a lot of us.
Although there might be a call right away to tell you he got there.
Has anyone heard from their LO? I watch the weather and see that it is in the 70's but bad rain. My LO just recovered from bronchitis and of course I worry. I hope that they are mostly inside and dry!!! Also can anyone tell me more about the facebook site for 18-10. Are they able to go on the computer?
There may be a FB group for the friends and family of 18-10. If there is a group for the members of 18-10 that would have been active before they reported, and not being updated now. Their computer time is extremely limited while at OCS, usually it is just used for financial things.
