I have not got another call or date

Morning All,

I have not received anything as well.  I have sent cards and letter begging my SR to write or call me but nothing.  So, I have no idea about nothing that is going on with him, other than I assume he is still graduating on 9/1.  I don't know what to think of what maybe going on with this group.  The positive side is that PIR is approaching fast, only 17 more days to go until we see our love ones.

I sent a message to janelle with hopes she can shed some light on the group. I get letters but they are like 3 sentences about nothing much.

Hi ladies,

I received a letter from my husband today (not sure when it was, but probably last week) that said that the div did lousy on the drill inspection and received 6 hits. If they had received 1 more then they would have had to graduate 2 weeks later. No phone call yet, so it looks like they are still hanging on...

Morning,

Wow ShelMaq, that would be terrible if they was to push it back.  I hope everything is going well.  I still have not received anything as of yet from my son.  I keep my phone close and as soon as mail comes, I am right there but nothing.  I will continue to keep positive that NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS.

Thanks for the update ShelMaq, I did not get a letter yesterday and now maybe I know why. I might need to light the blue candle early. I have a huge post it on my computer saying NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS to remind myself.

I got a 3 page letter today! YES He goes onto to say "I hope you enjoyed Courtney's graduation...I know her Division worked hard...BUT...you have seen nothing YET until you see our Division march. We are like Steven Segal mashed together like James Bond smooth walking skills...it's BAD ASS!

He wants to sign up for the officer program...I'm so proud of him....he's got a great head on his shoulders...besides the fact that he's so handsome!

He has a few friends..hasn't ever mentioned any names...unlike my daughter, it was fun for me to meet the parents of her friends...but he's going to leave this a mystery for me. Maybe I can get it out of him during the "I'm a Sailor call" so

i can meet some of you at the M & G!

BTW, they still have no clue what will happen once they graduate...so, they must not tell them until the last week of PIR what they will do...like he goes to A school at GL and based on what my daughter was able to do I'm assuming it was the same! So, after graduation, go down to the floor, kiss them and ask them when they have to be back to process over if they are staying at GL,,, they will most likely say they have to be back at 1 and can leave any time between 3 and 4!

We will have the nice luxury of having them Fri, Sat and Sun!!!!!!!!!!!! That's if your SR's are staying at GL for A school!

I keep stressing that because I don't know about the other's and when they fly out!

TTYL Mom's...can't wait til 9/1/11

Woo hoo Jenelle! I did not get a letter this week, but I got 3 last week and I know he wrote my sister and his kind of girlfriend this week so I will live. I am so happy that your son said how good they marched because I was concerned after a previous post. And you know not all boys are not good with details, probably ever crossed his mind you might want names. My son will be leaving for SC after PIR so probably not much time with him. That's ok I am prepared for it.

I hope you guys get good news in the next few days from your recruits. I know it is hard when you don't hear from them for so long.

I have had a bunch of messages from people wanting to know if it is too late to order ribbons and I thought it would be easier to tell you here rather than email each person separately. It is not too late to order the ribbons to wear to PIR. Just click on my name and send me a friend request if you want more info. Thanks, I have all your recruits in my prayers <3

hi, how are you, my son joe is ship 07 div 289, we have the same pir. cant believe it is finally getting close. cant wait to see him. how is your sailor, hope well

vinnie

Yay! I'm glad they are marching great! my SR didn't tell me that yet, but I hope to get another letter and maybe he will share. He has been so positive but that worried him about the military drill inspection.

I'm sure they are ok or we would have received a call that there is a change. Next week is the biggest test of all. I am so excited to see him!!! I hope I get to see him more than just one day, it is really hard on wives, hard on everyone I know...

I'm thinking about all of you and the DIV- going to burn a blue candle on my TV (making a DVD) anytime I am not using the TV. From now until graduation. :-)

Have a wonderful day~ thank you so much for the good news about the marching :-)

I did burn my blue candle yesterday for some extra good luck! I am afraid to leave my burner on during the day because I work and my cat knocks everything over, good idea on the DVD.
