Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."
Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please join the PIR group for May 10, 2019. There will be others joining the group soon.
yes we heard from our daughter on Friday it was info on graduation but so nice to see her handwriting , I have been missing her texts etc.. so I have been making cards to send to her , sent two on Saturday and 1 Monday since she has to spend her birthday in boot camp . I think the hardest thing for me, was the unknown and not hearing from her but looking forward to graduation.
So happy you heard from your girl. Please join the rest of the moms at PIR May 10 so we can all share this time with you. I’m missing my texts too.
Hi, How do you find the PIR Group? My son should be graduating (fingers crossed) on June 14th. You must be so excited to see your son. Have you talked to him for more than 2 minutes at any time during his 7 weeks so far?
Here are the links for the current PIR groups.
Got the "I'm a Sailor" call from son (Div 197). Got to talk to him for 32 minutes. They finished BS and had the capping ceremony this morning. FYI, they cannot discuss BS, so don't ask them any questions about it. He only said it was difficult, but he made it through. He was extremely sleepy, but wanted to talk. He said the rest of the week will be graduation rehearsal. Gave me a list of stuff to bring from home, and said he was looking forward to us at graduation. My heart is full. ♥️♥️♥️
