PIR: May 10, 2019

yes we heard from our daughter on Friday it was info on graduation but so nice to see her handwriting ,  I have been missing her texts etc.. so I have been making cards to send to her , sent two on Saturday and 1 Monday since she has to spend her birthday in boot camp .   I think the hardest thing for me, was the unknown and not hearing from her but looking forward to graduation.

So happy you heard from your girl.  Please join the rest of the moms at PIR May 10 so we can all share this time with you. I’m missing my texts too.

My son is in Div 197. He is scheduled to graduate May 10, 2019. We are making the trip from Louisiana to Illinois. As soon as I got his letter with his Graduation Date, I called and made reservations at the closest hotel, and reserved a car rental. I just requested to join the PIR: May 10, 2019 group. I am so ready to see him, and give him a hug.

Hi, How do you find the PIR Group?   My son should be graduating (fingers crossed) on June 14th.   You must be so excited to see your son.    Have you talked to him for more than 2 minutes at any time during his 7 weeks so far?

Click on the "Group" tab at the top. Enter PIR June 14, 2019 in search box. It should bring up any groups created with that.
I m very excited to see him. He arrived at RTC on 3/12. We spoke to him 4 times, aside of the initial call telling us he made it. The first call we got to talk to him for 30 minutes. We've had two calls that lasted 7 minutes each. Then last week, we had a 33 second call saying he loved me, he was still alive, and would see me in 2 weeks at Graduation. Another Navy mom said we will also get a "I'm a Sailor" call, but I think that will come when they finish Battlestations.

Here are the links for the current PIR groups.

Thank you for sharing this information!

Got the "I'm a Sailor" call from son (Div 197). Got to talk to him for 32 minutes. They finished BS and had the capping ceremony this morning. FYI, they cannot discuss BS, so don't ask them any questions about it. He only said it was difficult, but he made it through. He was extremely sleepy, but wanted to talk. He said the rest of the week will be graduation rehearsal. Gave me a list of stuff to bring from home, and said he was looking forward to us at graduation. My heart is full. ♥️♥️♥️
