Submarine moms are special:

--- All of us have boys, "SAILORS!"

 --- Who serve on "boats,"

 --- With whereabouts unknown, and

--- We only get sporadic, short emails while they're out!

Hello Ginger! I live in Lodi and my son is on the USS TOLEDO stationed in Groton, CT. I grew up in the Sacramento area and would love to know other sub moms in the area. I say nothing and don't speculate. He doesn't all much when he's in port and texts infrequently. I pray a lot, and love him from a far. Let me know when you're having a lunch in Sacramento and perhaps I could come up an meet some of you. x0x0 mom stew
My son Jon is on the USS Newport News SSN 750, he is an EM2. He finished nuke school in March and reported to his first boat in Norfolk VA and then left! Wow! I am very proud of him and happy to get his emails. All I can say is Thank God for the internet!
USS Ohio out of Bangor, WA leaves this week, boohoo
Son, Robert called at lunch time today, he received his assignment, USS West Virginis, Gold Crew. Out of Kings Bay, GA. Any other moms on the WV? This will be Rob's first he graduates Kings Bay on July 24th. he is soooo excited.
My son Chris is a LTjg on the USS Michigan.
Hi everyone! My son is on the USS Buffalo. He just graduated from A School in May and joined up with the crew of the Buffalo last week.
My son just graduated from sonar and is now in Norfolk on the USS New Mexico.
Hi, My son was on the Jackson out of Bremerton WA but has just transferred from a boomer to a fast attack out of San Diego.
My son is just going to the Jackson, are their other Jackson Moms out there. He was stationed for three years in San Diego on shore duty, we loved it there and really hated to see him go back to Bangor , I think they miss San Diego as well, hope he loves it there. Gaileann
Gaileann,
So far James is really happy with the USS Hampton. The only thing that he doesn't like is that his wife, Megan, who is an ensign on the USS Rushmore has been out a lot and will be shipping out for around 10 or so months. But he really loves the sunshine in San Diego plus he has aunts and uncles in the area. He really liked the Jackson and wished he could have stayed there. But his wife just got commissioned and was headed to San Diego so he got a transfer to be in the same vicinity when they are actually not deployed.
Son is a nuke on the Toledo stationed at Groton, CT! Miss him, but am SO proud of him! He has been in for 8 years. The Navy has been so good to him. He was able to go to UT @ Austin and finish his degree as a EE before being assigned to the Toledo.
have you seen the video of the toledo? it was aired on the news here in groton a couple months ago.. if not i can try and see if i can find it and send the link to you! its cool they did like a life of a submariner special on the toledo on fox news.
