DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Submarine moms are special:

--- All of us have boys, "SAILORS!"

 --- Who serve on "boats,"

 --- With whereabouts unknown, and

--- We only get sporadic, short emails while they're out!

Tell us where your sailor serves...

My son, Jon is a Nuke and a MM1 aboard the USS Columbia in Honolulu, HI. Jon joined USS Columbia in December 2005. He has served in the Navy for 5 1/2 years.
Aloha! My soon to be son-in-law Logan is on the USS Columbia , stationed out in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor and he's an A-ganger. My family was stationed out there (at Hickam) for 4 years (just left last July 08) and we miss it very much. Luckly, I get to go back next month for the wedding and my hubby goes there quite a bit TDY and sometimes I get to go with... :) Lucky wife! *L*

My thoughts & prayers are with all our crews who are underway at this time....
My Son is a STS on the USS Charlotte! Reports August 7! YEAHHHH I couldn't find a group on here, so I created one! Hope there is more moms on here!!!

I went and deleted the group once I found out they are one of only TWO sub's that carry the seals... Per guidelines on here, no info can be given out regarding any type of seals and or their missions, and transportation.. So I'm waiting on Elle to give me the OK on re-creating the group.
My son Richard is and ET and will be on the USS NEVADA out of Bangor Washington. He said they will be in dry dock till Feb.
My son Justin is on the USS Hampton stationed in San Diego.
My sons are Joshua who is on the USS Pennslyvania and My son Christopher stationed out of New York.
Pam,
Is your son on the Blue or Gold crew? My son is on the Pennsylvania too. He is a chief Missile Tech on the Gold crew. Finally, I have found someone on one of my son's ships!!
My son Jonathan is also on the Pennsylvania as a Sonar Tech.
Some days are harder for me than others...but that is to be expected. Sometimes it is having him away from home or out to sea, that is difficult. Other times it is watching the maturing process and wishing he didn't have to learn things the hard way. I had to learn things the hard way when I was his age, so I shouldn't be surprised. I guess letting go is a maturing process for us too.
God Bless our boys.
Welcome!! Is he on the Blue crew or the Gold crew? Your son looks so YOUNG!! My son Scott (the one on the sub) just turned 35. He is a Chief now and I am so proud of him! My youngest is 19 and is still in Great Lakes at A school for ET. He is almost done...should finish some time in August.
I believe he is on the Green team? Josh came home on leave in May for my birthday. It is hard not hearing from him.
I really miss my son too. I think he is on the green team too. He was on the blue crew but I think they changed him. What do you to make yourself feel better?
