Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 091 and 092.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thank u for the info louielou! I also received a call last Christmas day and my bf had mentioned that he wrote a letter recently. I have been checking the mailbox almost twice a day LOL, but no letter from him yet. He also said that he only had an hour to write... Hopefully we all get a letter soon! =)
No letters yet, but I am encouraged that some have received letters. My son said he completed the questionnaires that I printed off and sent. That was a great tip from this site! Happy New Year everyone!!!!!

Lol!! I'm watching out the window for the mailman :)   Anyone else receive a letter today?

I received a letter yesterday from my bf, DNmom. I already got the letter but I still frequently check the mailbox (hoping for more letters). =) Good luck

Hi everyone. I got a real letter today from my son.  ship 03 div 091.  He said they were all doing well.  He said he actually kind of likes it.  I'm glad to hear that spirits are good.   So I am sure everyone will start getting letters very soon, if not already.

Happy New Year!   I got my first letter a couple of days ago.  He said he had passed his swimming test.  He also said that getting up early was a little rough, but he was getting used to it.  He was in good spirits.  I'm hoping to get a phone call soon.

We were so excited to receive our first letter from our SR today. It was dated the 22nd of December and we are rural west so it takes a few days for mail to be delivered. He asked specifically for news items (he is a news junkie) since they are kept in the dark. He's in division 092 and shared that the RTC's are "pretty cool" and that some of the things they say are hilarious. Hopefully he's holding the laughter internally though. He stated that the 24th would be Day 1-3 and that a large number in their division have colds.
I too , got my first letter today. It was exciting to read about their journey, so far. My SR complained of feeling sick but said that it quickly went away. He also said that his feet hurt for a few days because of the new boots. I chuckled a bit when he wrote that they gave him a penicillin shot. Before hand, they asked if anyone in his immediate family had an allergy to pcn and he said, "no". Pretty much, we all do. Oops. He didn't have a problem though. Thank God. He admitted to crying. Once on the 19th, his 18th birthday, and when he got my 5 letters, on Christmas Eve. This mom feels so much better just knowing that he's doing well and that, so far, he likes where he is.
Hoping for more letters tomorrow! Our SR's should be in training week 3 soon :-). Wish we would get a New Year's call, but really don't expect it.........

My son's on Ship 3, Div 091.  I have just gotten a third letter.  He tells me he can't phone, but when he does he'll get five minutes.  I can't wait!  He still in hopes of graduating on Feb. 8, but he says he has alot to do before that time.

I received another letter yesterday as well dated the 30th, he says he only gets Sundays to write right now as they are too busy.

HI NEW SR MOM, I REC'VD LETTER DATE 1613 MY SN IS IN SHIP03DIV092 AND IS DOING GOOD HE WRITE TO ME ON SUNDAY AND CALLS HIS GF ONE TIME A WK, SURE WISH I COULD HERE FROM HIM, CAN'T WAIT TIL PIR. BECKY
