Lanette _ I don't know anything about IL....will work on reservations probably tomorrow night...

Happy sunny Sunday! We have reservations for the Ramada...we have a Wyndham Rewards Card (you can get one when you go on their site). We are arriving the 26th and leaving the 29th. I think that is where Sarge's meet and greet is Thursday evening.

Hello everyone. I am a veteran 800 Division mom. My son graduated in 2010. This is a Spec Op division so please be careful what you post. No names or dates(except PIR of course). This is a great place to get and offer support, make friends, and share information. Best of luck to all your recruits.

We have a closed group on Facebook that is for anyone with a recruit in boot camp. There are some moms on there with a discussion going who are looking for moms in your division. We have a great mix of people who are new to boot camp, some who have just hard PIR or are about to and some who are experienced and can answer questions. Please come join us https://www.facebook.com/groups/327167160695549/

Good morning! Switched my reservations to Courtyard by Marriott in Waukegan...does anyone else has the same location?

Hi Aster, We're booked there.

I was hoping for a letter today.  I will be waiting for the mailman tomorrow and the next day and the day after that if I have to.  I'm so  anxious to hear what my SR has to say.

Hello...up in the Georgia Mountains with my sister and one of her sons and one of my sister-in-laws and her son...My dear husband has specific directions, if there is a letter from our SR, scan it and send via e-mail to me!! I keep thinking no news is good news...however, I really miss him and I know he will be a changed man when I see him next....want to hear and read about the changes  :)

Anne--would love to her when you recieve your letter!

Aster, Got a letter on the 20th. My Son said there are about 91 of them in the group.  Nice mix of people.  He said some young (he is old at 21).  I have read on the main site that one of the newer groups earned a phone call because they were up and out of their racks BEFORE the wake up call.  From my Son's letter doesn't sound like their group.  He said most days someone does something that requires extra PT.  He also said because they are a division 800 they have harder instructors. Makes sense.  Guess if you are going to jump out of a helicopter into a raging ocean, you can't have any second thoughts when the time comes.  The better prepared they are the happier I will be.

The other day I saw a double bladed helicopter leaving Fort Lewis and thought, "wow some day that could be my Son on there."  What a proud feeling.

Hope you are a having a blast with your Sister and that you got your letter.  The Ga. Mountains, love, love, love them.

rnterry - it was wonderful having family here, they left for the airport an hour ago...always sad to see family g; I headed straight to the upper deck, cleaned the furniture and the deck..now taking a rest before I head upstairs and start on the bathroom..looks like TS Debbie has created rain and tornado watch back home, while I am here in the mountains soaking up the sunshine and watching the hawks glide the thermals...

sounds like your son wrote more than mine  :), my letter stated he doesn't know if the rack is comfortable (one of my questions to him), as soon as he is in it, he falls asleep, the only thing he sees is the back of the head of the SR in front of him, and he is getting a root canal! He has a chipped tooth, last time at the dentist there were no issues, so I guess it is a preventative measure. Sunday is their Holiday, so I hope he writes again, a little longer would be nice, but just getting mail is uplifting, my letter came on Thursday and my husband scanned it and e-mailed it to me, he is such a sweetheart...tons different than my ex.

Can't wait until PIR and we all can meet...and see them graduate...wondering when I can plan a trip to Pensacola?
