Anne-I was also hoping for my letter today--  :(  got a text from my husband, "NO Mail"  Boo!  Hopefully tomorrow is the day!

aster:  The Courtyard, Springhill Suites, and Residence Inn are all very close to Sarge's MeetNGreet (held the night before PIR).  They also all have PIR shuttle which is nice!  We stayed at Residence and really liked it.  Courtyard and Springhill have a big Walmart right there and some restaurants, etc.  It is only about a 8-10 minute ride to RTC.

diannep - thank you very much!  :)

I was hoping for a phone call today!  Hopefully this week.  Has anyone received a phone call from their SR that has lasted more than 15 seconds?

Anne - no I have not received one either...on vacation have a newer cell with better reception, all day Friday stayed in a strong reception area zone so I wouldn't miss a potential call  :)  finished a good book!   :)

Hi Anne looks like our Son's are in the same division.  My Son is going on to Rescue Swimmer for A school, well after Air Crewman.  Received a lengthier letter on Weds. the 20th. Had some more indepth info about their daily life. Getting yelled at seemed to be an ongoing theme throught his letter.

Hope you get a letter soon.  Are you going to PIR.

yes I am going to PIR.  I recieved the first phone call last night.  It was so great to hear his voice.  Everything is fine and he is doing ok.  The phone call lasted about 20 minutes.  I cant even remember everything he said...Just happy to hear he is doing well and eating.

Hi  My Son is also aboard  Ship 04/DIV 817  I received my second call yesterday @ 5 p.m. and I was so tickled because he was enabled to call because he scored 5.0 on some test so was rewarded by getting  time  to use the phone .   rnterry and Anne  my son also goes on to Air Crewman and then onto Air Rescue Swimmer.  I am curious if after liberty and they are back at their ship if they get awaken around 2 or 3 a.m.  to  board a bus to the airport for Pensacola    or if their flight  leaves shortly after 9 p.m.    I am proud of all the Recruits!!!!    God Bless America

SunshineMomofEddie - congratulations on your call!

ALL FAMILY MEMBERS OF SHIP04 DIV 817---rnterry and I will be attending a meet and greet when we get to PIR - it would be great if all of us with SRs in ship04 Div817 would be able to attend the same meet and greet..rnterry and my son have met up in BC..

my personal e-mail is kjensenjg@aol.com if anyone would like to send personal info so we can mail our SR who we are communicating with on N4M and they can get to know each other also, if you would like  :)
