Welcome to the discussion group for division 803.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Unfortunately there is not a way to change them. The discussion groups read "backwards", and it is a pain sorry. :(

Yes!!!! finally!!!! someone who has something in common with me!!! My son is also in Div 803, and we too got the strange call last night, changing the PIR date. Although it was strange it sure felt good to hear his voice, even for 2 second lol! When we got our Information packet, he had added little notes in the middle of the page and also a 1" x 1" note saying how crazy the yelling was, and that he wasn't in the regular BC, and the OP camp was much more difficult. He is Rescue Swimmer Recruit, and we knew he would have extra stuff to do, but it just broke my heart that my baby was having a hard time. Hard for Mom to hear, we so proud of him! Any information will be greatly appricated, and will pass on any that I hear.

Look forward to getting to know you all.

I am going to go nuts.   I have not received a phone call from my son for security purposes or to let us know the PIR date is wrong.    I can't help but wonder why?   Then my mind starts thinking of all these reasons why he has not called.   Is he in trouble because he did something wrong?   Do they get a choice to make that call?  Did he lose the priviledge?   Good Grief!

I should not complain, because there are parents who have not received their letter yet.   This is going to be a very long long long long 8 weeks.   I will feel better when I get some type of communication from him, but I am still not convinced he will write.   I know everyone says they will, but my son...I am not so sure.

Will the Recruits get to vote today?

Hi Felicia,

I haven't received any calls either.  Keep your chin up, as they say, no news is good news!!  You sound like an awesome mom and I am sure he will write. I'm sure our big strapping tough boys are missing their mommas right about now and remember...... boy's always love their mommas!!     Hoping to hear something this week.  We are also fortunate that they may have leave time.  Looking forward to that news!   While the whole PIR at Christmas is a bit of a pain... in may work to our advantage!  Yea!!   Norina :)

Felicia,

I know you what mean, but we have been luckier that some.  We did get the form letter, and a call saying the date was wrong.  Try and think of it as no news as good news.  I don't think I will get a letter eigther, but we have to keep writing and letting them know we are here.  Our guys are in a little different place than the other poeple, not saying it's not hard on all of them, just I don't think our guys thought they would have a lot more demands on them.  Keep your head up, and keep checking back somebody might have information later.

I do agree it's gonna be a very long 8 weeks!!!!

Hi everyone!  so do all of us here have a recruit with a diving contract?

Hang in everyone...

@ Anthonys Mom, this group 803 is Spec Ops..they can be divers, Air rescue, EOD, Seals, Swacc.

YAY!!!  I heard from my son.  I got to talk to him about 10 min.  He was in the infirmary because he is sick.  He has a cold and a really bad sore throat.  They were wanting more medical information, so I got to talk to him in between questions.  They were telling him to just talk to me until they got thru the paperwork.  Then when it was time to go, it was time to go.

:0)   I was so glad to hear his voice.   He sounded tired, and a little down.   I told him to hang tough and hang in there and he said okay.   Makes me sad.   Makes me cry!

I hope everyone gets a short call and their letter.  I wish I could hand deliver those to you myself!

so glad you got to speak with Jared..........

hang in there !!!!!!!!!!!

we are all feeling a bit of "shock" i think !!!

so happy for you Felicia... keep your head up!

P.S. I  hope he feels better soon and I hope this doesn't delay his PIR
