Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 820
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

My daughter got there the 7th as well. She was told there were not enough recruits for a division so they had to wait for the next group to come in. My dad says they get paid for the week they had to wait around, if you want to look at a sort-of cloudy-day bright side of it. Though I would have loved to have my daughter home for that extra week too.

Gotcha! Yes I would have loved to have him 1 more week but very happy to hear they got paid:):) at least they got to know the lay of the land before the craziness ensued lol! Hoping this week went ok for them and we get our phone calls!!!

Got a call from my son! Div 820. Sounded good, very tired and has a sore throat. Went to church today and liked it. Said he did a bible study with some friends he met.

Hey Ladies! New to the group, but our son is also 800 DIV with PIR 10/11. He also mentioned going to church with two friends and being involved in a Bible study. Enjoyed reading all comments in this discussion group.

My son also - said he was SIQ on Saturday. He said one of the other guys told him he had mono - and now he's worried about that - pretty sure it's just a cold or strep!

Had a great long chat with my SR yesterday, he said they are coming together as a group - but are still having issues when they get back "home." He said they have earned a flag, they made their division flag - one side is a shark eating the other divisions and the other side is a skull with a stick of dynamite for the EOD guys, a snorkel for the divers and fins for the swimmers - I think he said there are no SWCC or SEALs in their division. He sounded good like he was over his cold. I also received more letters yesterday - so all in all it was a pretty good day. Hope you all have a great day and get letters today!

Can anyone tell me which side to sit on to get a better view of the 820 division? Also I have read that the doors open at 6am but my husband is telling me 7. I DO NOT want to wait till 7 and then find out we could have been in at 6. Thanks.
