Got my husband's form letter on Monday, March 5. It was postmarked on March 1, so I'm thinking it takes about 2-3 business days to get from there to Austin, Texas. Hope that's helpful for anyone.

If anyone else's loved one is in this ship/division, please let me know. He's an AECF. I don't want anyone to go without letters so I was going to ask him if there was a particularly lonely recruit and organize some sort-of letter writing campaign so no one feels left out.

Good to hear I'm not the only one crazy. I slept in my son's bedroom too.

I'm still waiting for the form letter.   I bug my husband everyday with the same question "Has the form letter arrived yet?"  I'm waiting to hear from him to confirm his PIR date and ship.  I spoke with my son's recruiter and he gave me the info but I want to see it in writing.   Ugh...   If I had carpet in my home I'm sure I would have worn it OUT by now near the front door and mail shoot...   It does help knowing we're not alone in this journey.

i was going to sit in my son's car tonight to hopefully be able to smell him.  i can't take the not hearing from him.  i know that if something was wrong we would know and that no news is good news, blah, blah blah i'm tired of hearing that, i want some kind of news!  i don't even care if he writes to his girlfriend before he writes to his father and i.  i did get my hotel reservations finalized today so that made me some what happy.

... perhaps i should start make reservations... still nothing ... we all in the SAME BOAT.... i still have spells where i look at a picture and i just start balling , i cannot explain how much i miss him, who would ever thought that it would feel like this... i would never had imagine ... i want a letter NOW !!!

Where are you staying? What position did he apply for..My got AM

My husband is in this division also :) Anyone receive any letters or phone calls from them yet?

my son is in this one .... and nothing yet ... today is day 18 since my son left and other then the formal letter and box nothing :( , i am stalking the mailmen for letters and sunday i stayed in, hoping for a call ... let me know if you hear something from your husband !  welcome in ship 7 div 127 !!!

Welcome to our family..Not hear a thing from my son..Maybe soon we will be blessed with a letter!! or a call. Have a good day

Dang..You should have gotten a letter by now.. When did he start BC? Maybe the processing was delayed..Who knows?? Hang in there..We all know what you are going through. Have you gotten the "box"?

my son is in this division...I got a letter yesterday and a phone call today....doing the happy dance!

Still nothing. I leave my phone on LOUD and next to me at all times in case he calls, but still no letters except for that one form letter with graduation info. Myself and his parents have booked our flight, rental car and hotel, though -- La Quinta at Gurnee has multi-bedroom suites for reasonable rates and it's pretty nearby.

The recruiter told me that they may not have given them the time to write home yet, my son said he was going to try to find some time to write...so hang in there...give it a few more days.
