For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command The 3405 Sailor Drive is the correct address.Should he have still received our other letters?U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command It may or may not have been delayed. As long as you had Ship 07 in the address, but the letters will be delivered. -

Hi there Rowena-- My daughter is on that ship 07/Div 171. I am worried about her. I got my first letter, well 2/3 of a letter this week, she ended in mid sentence. Seems to be doing ok. She also wrote a friend also, they got a little more info then me, but they shared it with us. Have you gotten a phone call yet? I am sooooo waiting for that call. And I just discovered, I am having problems with my cell phone (calls aren't always going thru :-( grrrrrr. Went to Sprint today, they are ordering me a new phone, won't get it until Monday. I have some ? I would like to ask u--I may put in friend request.

Hi everyone! Just found this site! I love that I'm not the only one stressing about phone calls and letters. I'm so incredibly proud of our sons and daughters -- it's almost overwhelming!!

Son. I too received a letter and it was upbeat and full of respect for the RDC's. I've read his letter around 10 times and cry a little every time I read it. He said, "This is by far the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. One day at a time. But it's not that bad."
What about you? Son or daughter?

It is my son also and the funny thing is he also seemed to have respect for the RDCs, he said they had really good RDC, he qualified it with that doesn't mean they don't yell at us a lot..my son will be staying in GL for A school to be an OS how about you.

Don't know yet. What's OS? Right know we're just flying by the seat of our pants. And really really hoping that he qualifies (right word?) for PIR in May -- I'm anxious to see him.

Colleen, I am sorry there wasn't anything, it would have been nice to here something on your son's special day. Hang in there I am sure there will be at least a letter soon if not a phone call.

Sorry I have been offline, but Yay, I got my first letter! My son was very up beat he told me that he received only one of my letters, but he wrote it over a week ago, he said that they only get to write on Sundays. He loves it there and he said much of the same that others were saying fast paced. Very respectful as well. I have read his letter 5 or 6 times!
