Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 355-356.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi there. I am pretty sure my son is your son's rack mate. He mentioned him in his letter I received this week. Not by name but saying he had a baby on the way

That would be so awesome.  What exactly is a rack mate?  His name starts with a J. What does your sons name start with?  His baby is due end of October so if she is late his new wife wont be able to go to PIR either.  We will be there though.  Hope to hear from you soon.  Congrats to you and your SR.

It's what they call their bunk mate. Last name F. We have 12 letters in our last name, hence the F12 (his long time nickname since freshman football) He is youngest in the division at 17.

Cool will mention in todays letter if ok with you.  Do you know where you are staying for PIR? Curious are you on Fbook?  First name start with J and last name end with h?

Yup, I recognize you from FB - Another Day Down. Great site!

Yes, that is me. I got to talk with my son yesterday and he said they had switched rack mates, I don't know why, but he really liked your son. Also, he told me he gets called a very different name by the RDC who took one look at it and gave him a very different nickname.
I will be staying at the Navy Lodge with my SR's girlfriend

If the Navy Lodge still has rooms when I do my arrangements this coming week, I will be staying there too, Maybe we can share on taxi to the PIR in the morning. Split cost.  I wondered why my SR said he no longer had a rackmate. Did you ever find out if it was actually him though?  So very curious now what RDC nicknamed your SR.  Did he say that my SR was out for a few days due to 4 wisdom teeth and 1 molar pulled? Maybe thats when the racks were switched.

That's good news. We know that we have a great group of parents, spouses etc. and we just hope that they are making good friends as well and are well liked. If only we could be a fly on the wall.

OH to be a fly on their wall!   Nice to have you on board.  Will you be at PIR?  Where are you staying?

JoMomma what Division is your SR? Did I miss you saying which one you are in?

Good luck to all the parents of  D.iv 355- 356 and God Bless your SR. My son is in 356 and i'm from Brooklyn NY. No calls yet but when i got that letter  i was so happy  all i'm looking forward to is Nov.2 now.

Hello, hey where are all the div 355 loved ones?   7 letters received from SR, talk about excitement.  He's doing great, 12 guys already on way home for one reason or another.  Got sick as flue is going around, but better now.  Says it is tough, but is doing fine.  YEAHHHHH..
