TimmysMomma I don't know what they would say to moleskin, but if the shoes are causing blisters they prob arent the right size.  At the very least tape a few baindaids in the letters.....My guess is he doesnt want to say anything to the RDC's

So happy for all you moms that got letters today, hoping for one tomorrow! Maybe he got his wisdom teeth pulled and couldn't write.....I'll be worried until I hear, so if anyone hears about an Ohio boy named Jared let me know!

No letter again today, I'm starting to worry since he's such a mommas boy I know he would write....Has anyone else in this division gotten a letter that mentions they had their wisdom teeth out?  Maybe he wasn't able to write if he is on bedrest.

My son wrote his letter while he was in SIQ from getting his teeth out.  He said he only had one that really hurt when they took them out though and he didn't mention taking anything for it just sleeping quite a bit.  So if your SR needed to take more med afterwards that can completely wipe some people out.  He didn't mention anyone having a particularly hard time recovering or anything so hopefully your mail is just running behind.

I sent my SR a letter today and asked if he knew your son.  Although it is hard since we can't use last names and that is all they know.  He mentioned he should get to call this weekend so I will mention it to him again if you still have not heard anything by then.  Hoping for a letter for you soon.

Not sure if this was to me, but I couldn't find another NUKE reference :) He flew out of Columbus, OH.  He told me in his letter that he has to fly out the day after PIR to A school.  That was a little disappointing, cause I know of others who had the weekend to see their families before leaving.  Oh well at least we get all day Friday after the ceremony and maybe they will let us go to the airport with them.

Well no letter again today but since others are starting to get letters I hope I will get one soon.  My son didn't have to have his wisdom teeth out because that was done a few years ago.  He is 23.  Anyone else's son going to San Antonio, TX for A school?  I keep telling myself that no news means everything is going well for him but it is hard not hearing anything and I miss him so much.  I am so glad to have navyformoms to check for information.  Thanks everyone.

We live in Connecticut.  Hopefully it is just taking a while to get here.  My son is one who really follows rules so maybe that is why I haven't gotten a letter yet because he only writes on Sundays or something.

I am so happy to hear that! I have been keeping my phone by my side since he left, even on vibrate during church.  I just didn't want to miss a call. I saw that the other group got their calls around 5 or 5:30 Eastern time and the area code should be 847.  I didn't think I would be looking forward for a Monday to come

I will be attending PIR and was wondering where  would be a good place to stay near base?  I was there in 2009 for Son#1, and that was a while back, also Son#2 was in tow. Now it is his turn to go through PIR. Long trip but it will be worth it...Any suggestions would be appreciated...Thank you!

Thanks GeorgiaGirlfriend for the news about the phone calls on Monday.  I am so excited.  Since I still have not received any letters from my son Jarod I am really looking forward to his phone call.  I guess I won't be leaving the house Monday because there is no way I will be missing his phone call.

Did your son have stamps with him when he got there? My bf andnavygf's bf have both said they haven't gotten a chance to buy anything yet, but luckily, both of our bf's had stamps

mine wouldn't have had any stamps until he got my first letters.....still no mail for me but his GF got one yesterday so hopfully this week.
