I just got the letter late yesterday.  My son arrived at GL on 3/1.  I thought we might be pushing it to make the 4/27 date, but happily surprised.  Got a GREAT note on the back of the letter... Has he changed this much already that he seems to really miss us?  Wow!

Hoping to connect with other 11/134 moms.  Let me know.  :D  Hang in there!  We're gonna make it, just like our kids!  :D

Your SRs should be doing BattleStations early during PIR week.  Only they can tell you the exact night...it is a 12 hr overnight drill and then they are sailors!  Please read the" BattleStations discussion" which has much more info.  Also, if you hear a date for them, please private message it to me.  I'm maintaining a schedule for this PIR group and will send it out when done.  We cannot post BattleStations dates on this site...not allowed.  RTC has asked us not to.  So if you receive a date, just post on the main PIR board that you have a date for Div ___ and let the ladies private message you for it.

I'm a Sailor calls come in on the afternoon of the day that they finish.  Can start as early as 2 pm GL time.  They usually get a good amount of time to talk then...and they can also elect to buy internet time for 30 minutes while waiting for the phones...which means they may post on their Facebooks, so be checking that too.

Thanks for the info!!! I wrote to my SR last week and asked so hopefully ill get a response soon.

Thank you diannep for the latest information concern BS week.  I think the best thing to do is just not read anymore and just pray that all the SR in ship 11 will make that super phone call this week.  It has been a month and 1/2 of roller coaster emotions and now it is almost over.  We all will just have to wait. WOW -   this is crazy - LOL  God is definitely with our SR which means they are good to GO!

Thank you Robert... cause reading these latest posts are depressing... my SR has not indicated any of the information I've been reading on here....

My SR either mdamon70/Ship11Div134. She has been in good spirit and excited about seeing us on Friday. I have butterflies...

thanks for replying Keta Laz... I had to stop reading this site lately cause it was stressing me out... my SR has been in great spirits which has kept me in good spirits... hopefully we'll meet on Friday at gradation... I have butterflies too...

Until the call, we're going to continue to pack our motorhome. But, we will hold off lighting off the fridge til' we get the call. Not even going to down load the parking pass as of yet....

OK,  are you telling me that they can do BS a day before PIR????????  This is crazy, I will be on needle and pins on the PLANE! So I take a plane ride on the 26th and they don't PIR - confused, very confused!!!!!!!!

We're scratching our heads.....We should be on the road somewhere between Ohio and Indiana....Just hope we hear or see the phone ring.....Would suck to get a voice mail....We might be off the road by about 3 or 4 Wednesday, and then hammer on into GR, at the MWR campground....Probably be the only motorhome in the parking lot Friday morning...LOL...

I feel the same as Robert. We get all the way to Great Lakes and dont get a call will be very upsetting and sad. I will be leaving for Great Lakes on next Wednesday. I  kow we will all get a call so im taking off with Bells and whistle blowing(lol). They made it this far and i know their not gonna give up are let us down now. See you all in Great lakes!

Hopefully the RDC's will allow them to call home and give us a sitrep...With what people are about to spend o nfuel and travel, there should be some concideration.....

For those of us that are driving to RTC, I'd like to share a tip. If you can and have a phone capable, down load the app, Gas Buddy. Also, it wouldn't hurt to try and find a guide book called The Next Exit. Gives you all sorts of info exits along the interstates. I.E., food, lodging, shopping, repair shops, and gas stations...We use it, and it is very helpful knowing what is around the exit. See ya'll Friday at the Drill Hall.....
