The written test is on tuesday, monday they have their live fire from what i was told but it seems like theres alot of different info coming in. and thanks!!!

So my sailor has been nicknamed Chia Pet... cuz his hair grows faster than the lawn.  Said other division RDC call him that too. too funny

that is cute!!! I will have to ask my son if he has a nickname too.  he was diligent about not wearing logos or whatever that would draw attention and create an image that would stick with the RDC's.  looks like your son got one for a reason he can't control!  I love it!

Do we have a meet & greet for our division? Chia Pet says he thinks there are 70 SRs in 142?

My SR said 69 but then when he called Saturday he said they had picked up some more that were previously "ASMOD" (sp?) - meaning delayed from original grad date.  Not sure how many they have now.......

OK.  I. AM. RETARDED!

My son is calling everyone by their last name and you are calling them by their first name... I don't know which mom goes with which SR!!!

SR Guidry aka CHIA PET wrote that I have spoken with SWICK's mom and I don;t know who of you that is!

Please send me your SR's name so I can put all the ANAGRAM dots together? Please

Oh and... anyone else getting letters with "and for the love of MCPON West"? Master Chief Petty Officer yes?

have not seen the MCPON West comment, but my child is calling all by last names also and I had to come back via private chat and ask a few moms what was their last name too!  See my private message to you!

Did anyone else get a call from their SR today?  Sounds like our division is doing really well.  My SR said that we have won some flags.  Next week is Hell week.  Keep the boys in your thoughts and prayers.

They will have talks about Liberty for PIR next week too.  We should have that info when they make their next phone call to us.

Please share your phone call info. so we can all find out what is going on.  :)

Dani

We got a call but he tried home first and lost time trying to redial to our cell. Really didn't get much cuz dad talked to him and details are non existent after his chats. Had to hang up before I could reach the phone....really
Bummed

My SR called home phone too.  Knowing that I'm at work until 5.  He didn't leave a msg. just saw missed call from pay phone on the log.

I'm really sad, concerned wondering if he's okay.  I guess if there was something wrong he'd keep trying until he spoke to someone.

My SR called yesterday for about 18 minutes,  He said that they have their final PSA (?) this coming Friday and if he cant cut a minute off his mile he will be delayed.

They received a bonus call for working well together on an inspection and something about racks being perfect.  He is in great spirits and is so excited PIR is closer every day.

He saod the division has 2 flag now.  They lost some sort of inspection or test ealry on or there would have been a third.

They were also given a presentation about ranks and my SR chose EM as his first choice bc they described the ET as a paper pusher.  That sounds like a pitch for non-ETs but I cannot find consistant information I can understand to differenciate ET from EM.  He said they find out their ranks Monday.

Also, the EMs leave Saturday 0200 for Charleston - that's 16 hours after PIR.

I'll write more if I can think of anything else he said that might mean something to other moms.  but honestly, I was in such a haze of glee I was actually talking to him!

Oh - he said he could have his cellphone and laptop at A School and can Sykpe and call basically whenever he has free time. So ask your SR and if possible, bring their phone and laptop to PIR weekend,  They can bring it to A School and you can talk to him as soon as it's turned on!!

Hope everyone is having a great Tues and I know you are counting down the days - just like I am!  Can't wait to hear that call "I'm A SAILOR!!" and then to be there with joy in our hearts when we attend PIR.

Just a couple of more weeks!!!  Hang on.......... :-)
