My husband and I are hoping to be there but have not gotten our tickets yet.  We are waiting to hear if our son is doing any better.  If he gets any sicker he will become siq and will get delayed in his graduation which will mean he loses his schooling and will have to get a different job.  He has been trying to handle being so sick because he doesn't want to lose his job.  He has a month left, I just hope he can hang in there.  We are planning to arrive thur and leave sunday.

beckms - My husband and I are driving out - we just can't afford all the plane tickets.  We are bringing our daughter and one older son.  Our youngest is only 7 and would not last through the 'hurry up and wait' Navy days, I don't think..  We are staying at the Navy Lodge, in Great Lakes.  It's a great price and sounded very nice.  Close, too.  We are planning on going to the Meet and Greet, if we arrive in time.  Can't wait to see our SR!  (our sailor!we hope!)  So far, he sounds healthy.  I hope he passed his test with the push ups and sit ups. He sounded pretty confident that he can pass it.  I am praying for him and the whole division, for good health and a spirit of unity and strength.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Mamaof5 - It's hard to be stuck at home when your son is ill, but be at peace.  They are taking good care of him and God willing he will get better soon and be able to resume his training and PIR with the rest of the division.  He's going to be ok

Hi Div 350 Moms!  Just checking in.  We did not get a letter last week but several family members/friends did.  Everyone said our recruit sounds good but I was wondering how your sons are doing.  Mamaof5, how is your son's health?  I have prayed for him!  This should be a big week for our boys...weapons training!!!

No letter today!  Last week, we got one on Thursday, but maybe they're slow, and one will come tomorrow!  I hope they enjoy weapons training - a break from the PT and all that stuff.  I hope they are working together better than before, preparing for Battle Stations!

Got my son a bottle of NAVY hot sauce, to go with his graduation gifts.  He puts hot sauce on EVERYTHING!

Mamaof5 - Praying for your son, too!  Hope he is doing much better!

Hi Beckms,  Thanks for praying for my son. I just received a letter from him yesterday.  He is getting healthier.  He got two more wisdom teeth pulled and was given siq for two days.  He got a bit more rest which I'm sure helped with his other health issues.  He sounded much better in his letters.  He is anxious to see us.  He said the guys are getting along much better and working well together. That was nice to hear since they have to make sure they can work well together for Battlestations. My son was very excited about weapons training.  He said they also have test 2 and their physical training test. Plus this week is "HELL" week, where the RDC's mess with you.  He hopes he does ok and his cold/flu does not slow him down on his testing.

I'm glad your son has remained healthy through boot camp.  I think that helps a lot. I heard the lodge is nice.  we purchased a package deal through priceline.  We are staying at the Days Inn.  Not the nicest hotel but I guess it is close to PIR. Have you heard what time the Sailors have to be back to pack after PIR?  Do you think it is the same for all of them or does it depend on their "A" School?

Mamaof5 - we will keep praying for your son.  Hope to see you out there!
Thanks Shelia.  Are you guys doing anything after PIR?  We are thinking about going to 6 flags fright night if they don't have to be back too early.  Do you know what any of the other families are doing?  In my SR's letter he said they did Marlin Spike, does anybody know how good they did.  I'm assuming they passed it.  Has anybody heard if 350 has been awarded any ribbons?  My son does not tell me these things and I only receive one letter a week.  Maybe I should ask the girlfriend since she receives between 2 and 4. Lol.  Tomorrow or Thursday are my letter days so I will post if I find out anything, assuming I get a letter and he is not too busy this week.

I am not sure what our SR will choose to do, his best friend graduated from BC in July and he wanted to go to a movie.  I know we will have to hunt down some Dr. Pepper though, he has mentioned missing it in several of his letters (good Texas boy).  We don't get much detailed info on what is going on either, he seems more interested in talking about what we are doing.  Mamaof5 let us know if you hear any good info from the GF or your letter this week please!

Just a heads up on ribbon orders. If you have already ordered ribbons to wear to PIR for this PIR group and have made your payment your ribbons were shipped this morning so be watching the mail for those. Stalking the mail man is advised lol. Please let me know what you think of them when they arrive. I know you will wear them proudly to PIR :-) Have a wonderful weekend everyone. If you have any questions send me a message or friend request. Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your group and allowing me to make the ribbons for you and your families.   Lora
what ribbons I cannot find anythng about them could you please explain what or where these ribbons are thank you

sdparent -  LaLa Ribbon Queen makes these. I believe you have to add her as a friend and then you can look at her pictures and message her about them.

Sorry I've been absent for so long!

Got an awesome letter from my Sr!  It started , "It's been a great week for 350!  We passed and flagged every event we had this week!  I passed SAMT and livefire!  We had personnel inspection, weapons turnover (not to be confused with apple turnover!)MCA drill inspection, which, I might add, we passed so well we were awarded independent steaming!  "  I won't bore you with the rest, but I was so thrilled to read it.  I scanned it (my husband did) into the computer and sent it out to my whole family - they were so excited to read it.  What a change from his last letter.  I wonder if they'll get another phone call?

mamaof5- I do hope your son gets better and is well enough to graduate on time.  We plan to arrive thurs and leave early Sunday, since we're driving.

I really hope to meet you all at the 'meet & greet' at the Ramada!
