I'm very crafty and have pay pal and was thinking of making ribbons for everyone if you send me like a dollar per ribbon you needed. I'd need to start pretty soon, and if their PIR changes, I'm willing to mail them.

My boyfriend is Ship 11 Division 252. I already have my airplane tickets, and have yet to get a hotel room. His recruiter told me it's safe to buy the tickets now because there is as much chance now of failing as week 8 when they hit battle station's.

So if you want one, get in contact with me and I'll get it rolling.

Hi,  my nephew is in div 252.  I am really excited about seeing him at graduation.  We were there last December for my son's graduation.  I still remember all the feelings, the excitement about receiving the "box", the first letters, the first phone calls, the sadness of missing him, the horrible feeling of missing a phone call.  Most of all I remember the pride I felt at graduation, it is amazing.

I can't wait :D

I'm super excited for graduation. Everything you listed is exactly the best way to say it too! I've dreaded the idea of missing a call (if I get one, told him his mom is top priority so if he only has time for one, call her first). We got his letter today for the PIR date and wrote our letters to send out for him. Feels like the process of basic is starting to brighten and speed up from this end. Can't wait to be a part of it and I am so proud of him and grateful to all of you and your loved ones as well. Have a great night everyone.

Hi Everyone!

My son is Ship 11 Div 252 as well.  We've gotten the "kid in a box" , his 15 second I'm here call and his form letter.  It already feels like he's been gone for AGES!!!

I am so looking forward to joining all of you on the 17th for PIR!

JessicaAnna.... What do the ribbons look like and what info is on them???

Thanks

I don't know exactly. I still haven't made it to the craft store, but I should go today or tomorrow. They'll be shaped like the "support the troops" magnets you can put on your car, and will have some navy related pin or sticker where the sides cross. Then on one side say your son/sweethearts last name and on the other can say US Navy, Girlfriend, Wife, Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, anything really. Totally customary. And it's only a dollar because I'm buying the items in bulk and a lot of it will be used me, his mom, brother, and father. The parts I don't know, what color the ribbon will be, how thick if it will have a border, but they'll be pins like for your shirt. No payment until after I sent a picture and you like it.

Hey you guys...there is a facebook page for your PIR.....here is the link

Thanks for letting us know about the facebook page ThatMom

Hello everyone, my son is in Div 251. and cannot wait until the 17th of August. It is really great getting to know other people that have family going through the same thing.

There's tons of moms on here, and they are all amazing!

My son is also on Ship 11 Division 252

Happy Independence Day everyone =D. Spending the day with family and celebrating. Then I am looking into possible train rides for the PIR. I'll be talking to my sweeties parents at dinner this weekend about what our full plan is as well, not sure if we have a set plan for hotels or anything just yet. Best wishes to everyong and I hope you all have a great day of celebration!

It can depend. If they are going to Great Lakes for A School, they will be busy right after graduation transferring and such, but then will be given liberty until 8-9pm, then will have liberty on Saturday and Sunday. If they are going somewhere else they will have liberty after graduation until 8-9 pm then on Saturday will be taken to the airport between 1-3am, and I'm not sure if you can take them out of the airport, but I think you can, as long as their back for their flight, but don't take my word for sure on that part. As for me, I'll be in Chicago at 2:23 pm on Thursday, and my flight leaves at 5:45pm on Saturday.
