Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 131 and 132

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Has anyone gotten a letter from their SR yet?? I am looking for mine today or tomorrow! I was lucky enough to have had a quick phone call from my son on Saturday but it seems like its made me want to communicate with him even worse then I did before, UGH! Do any of you know if the recent military downsizing will effect our new Recruits? Hoping you all have a Wonderful Wednesday :)

My daughter said they should be able to write this past Sun. So hopefully we get letters this week.

No letter yet. My SR also called twice on Saturday. He said everyone was done making calls and they still had 30 minutes. So the RDC's let them make 2nd calls if they wanted. I was so happy. My 1st call was only 12 min. 2nd call was about 30 and I was able to get my other sailor on a 3-way call. It was awesome!! He said we should get our letters this week. I'm thinking Thursday. Hang in there. The letters will start coming. :)

That is awesome SorinMom, where is your son from?

He is definitely on the right track to success. Blessings to him and your family.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this, I am not a mom but my fiancé is in ship 11 div 131. I just got his first letter and am SO happy!!!! I have been writing him everyday for three weeks. There isn't a lot of info online about how and what to mail. I sent all the letters priority in one envelope. Was that a huge mistake? I need your advice. Thank u so much everyone :)

I just mailed mine all individually. Just to make sure they didn't have to open in front of RDC's. Anything to draw attention to them, could be embaressing. My daughter is in the same division. Where are you from?

Hi! I'm from arizona :) how about you? How is your daughter doing?
I thought so, good to know. I won't do that again.

I am from OH. She is doing well, got blisters on her feet. Says is not as cold as she thought it would be, and food is good, I think she is missing some junk food tho...lol. You should be able to put 3-4 pages of regular paper in an envelope. Check with the post office then you will know for all the rest. Have a great day only 5 more Fridays. Are you going to PIR?

I am! His mom and sister are going too! We are so excited to finally see out SR! I am so glad your daughter is doing well :) 5 more Fridays is so exciting, I am counting down the seconds!

I am counting down too! Never driven to Chicago before, but driving not the problem. Waiting stinks, but you already know that. Have a good night.

Hello everyone! I have been writing my SR every day but have not had an opportunity to talk to him on the phone. I am all the way on the west coast. Do any of you know if they are getting letters? Is the processing time at the RTC several days? Thanks for your help :)
