Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 255 and 256

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

NavyVetandMom that is great your daughter is going to be doing the same as my son . Are the boys and girls allowed to talk to each other at all in BC ? I know along time ago it was forbidden

We had a brother company and I believe we pt'd and passed them while marching on a few occasions and the company commander (now RDCs) would bellow - eyes straight ahead - if  you so much as divert your eyes - we know it. LOL!! Times have changed so I don't really know at this point but my baby girl's name is Catherine. I hope that some of us can meet up at Sarge's meet and greet in GL.

Hi Everyone!  This is awesome!  Our son, our oldest, is 11/255 will be staying in GL for A School for OS.  We have our flights booked, room booked and we're counting down the days, well the counter helps us count down the days :)  I look forward to meeting others in hopes to meet up at PIR.  Hugs to you all! :)

Alicia In AZ, my daughter is in the same div and also going to be os. If they know each other she can bring him along on the days we get her from A-School. When our son was at great lakes for add on training, he is undesignated, he would bring 2-3 friends with and they all left with full bellies. She said in one of her letters that she has met a few others in her DIV that are also os.

Diane, that would be wonderful if they know each other. He's such a great young man, very respectful and funny too. We shall keep in touch!

What is his name. I am writhing a letter tomorrow and I will see if she knows him. Her name is Nicole, she said that the instructor called her Germany before they knew her name. She is my cutie. If you will be in Chicago for the weekend we can probably do a bbq. We do have an 85ish pound German shepherd and a 12 pound kitty.

Hi Diane, SR Montanez, I received two letters today from last week and he sounds down. Says its stressful and he didn't pass a few tests. I'm worried now and look forward to hearing his voice this weekend. :(

I will give her his name and see if when they do pool and running when she is done to cheer him on so he finishes. Usually whoever she becomes friends with get a very helpful person. We raised both of our kids to help others if needed. I hope he becomes less stressful for him. She asked for a photo of her brother, I guess she is telling all the girls all about her big brother and the ship he is deployed on. I always put a few times in my letters that I know she can do this because she has grown to be a very strong had working young lady.

Diane, do you know when they will be doing pool stuff?  I know you mentioned that Nicole had passed her prone float already (YEA!)

I'm not sure when they go into the pool next. When she told me she was so excited because her brother had a hard time with that one. I will try to find out when they go again. I think today is week 2 day 5 for DIV 255/256

Here is the link for what they do. I think it goes to week 6. I hope the link works, I am trying to do this on a kindle. I don't have my laptop hooked up to our network yet.
