Hi  Everyone,

We got a letter today from our son and he sounds like he is doing great! He  said he has some crazy stories to tell us! He also said that their RDC  are pretty cool but the group still messes up sometimes and gets yelled out-lol.It is such a relief when you hear from them and know that all is well. Thanks for all your support-us Mom's are in this together! Also does anyone know if the shuttle to the PIR is easier to do as opposed to driving our car?  We are staying at the Residence Inn.

JanRN - see my post above. Yes, take the shuttle! :)

5 weeks and I still have not gotten a call): I just want to hear his voice so I know for sure that he is doing good. A Mom knows by the sound of their voice if they REALLY are ok

Gosh, I am so sorry that you haven't heard from your son.  I'm sure this won't make it any easier, but to be honest with you, the calls I received were not anywhere as informative as the letters that I received from my SR.  I understand just wanting to hear his voice and I hope that you hear from him soon.

MN Navy Mom - I haven't gotten a call either. Sometimes I jump out of my skin when the phone rings! LOL I get disappointed when I don't see the 847 area code.

Ribbons ordered from Lala for grad!! I can't wait - hoping to hear from him via a phone call.  But I guess no news is good news right? No letter this week, but he did write my mom & dad and brother and the 3 page letter sure sounded good. Lots of different stories and that the days are action packed from the minute they get up to lights out but that he is getting stronger every day.  Most importantly he said his shipmates in Div 154 help make the not so good better.

Hello everyone. Hope you have been having a good day. Was hoping to have a phone call today but nothing so far. Doubt there will be a call at this point.  Have any of you received a call today?  I hope those of you that have not received any phone calls from your SR will get one soon. I have talked with my dauther once since the day she arrived in GL. I can wait to hear that "I'm a Sailor" phone call at this point. We should be getting those phone calls in about 2 weeks.

No call at all for me yet): Hoping this weekend. But we've only got 2 1/2 weeks left!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Hey Mom's they had pics the other day(random) of them marching and I spotted my son--RTC Training site on facebook--you have to really look for them now-scroll down-?4/27 random pics.

How do I get to this site? Would love to see if my son too?

Go to Facebook and type in the search, U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command.

Thank you!
