Yes, there is!!!!
My son Jonathan is on that ship. Very proud of him... cannot wait to see him. He lived out of state so we didn't get to see him off. Haven't seen him since May. It will be a happy day on the 29th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You must miss him very much! My son Blake left on Sept. 7th. Seems like forever already. Can't wait for PIR either! Patty (Florida)
Yes, it does. He had called last Saturday only we weren't expecting his call and we weren't home. He called a friend and they relayed a message to us. Just wanted to cry after that!!! (NH)
Same thing happened to us! I went outside for just a little while and missed his call. He got a hold of his Grandmother and she told him to call back. So I did get to talk to him for 1 minute! I was so upset! I am keeping my phone with me every minute now! Where are you planning on staying in Chicago? We are at the Springhill Suites by Marriott. Patty
Wow...so glad you got to talk to him. 1 minute is awesome at this point. I'm not sure what we are doing yet. There are 4 of us.. we have 2 younger kids traveling with us. No phone call yesterday. None so far today. I am going to write a 3rd letter to mail out tomorrow. I made the younger write a note to him...lol...and they drew pictures and we mailed a photo.
My son is on ship 12 DIV 345 right now as well. I had the same experience. Somehow even though I carried my cell phone everywhere with me on Tuesday - I still missed his phone call! I was so mad for the rest of the week because I knew I wouldn't get a call for at least 2 or 3 more weeks. Then on Sat, Sept. 11th, we got a call from him and it made my weekend. I've written 2 letters and am going to send some photos to him tomorrow.
Welcome aboard musicmom...glad to have you here. Left another post below..
Yes! MY son Andrew is on that ship too! PIR 10/29 I cannot wait!
Hi! Glad to see you here. Patty
Hi. I've seen you a couple of times on the chat but there was too much going on to jump in the conversation.
It's pretty nerve wracking overall. Won't be leaving the house anytime soon...lol. Last night I had a good cry and that helped. Feeling much better today. Has anyone made their traveling plans yet? We haven't started. Last night we discovered that my husband was thinking just him and I were going and I'm thinking us and the two kids....hahahaha...Would be great to kinda get away but then I know the younger ones would love and enjoy seeing their brother and being apart of the whole experience too.
