Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 023 & 024

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi all~

My son is in ship12/div 23, his rate is a UT as a Seabee which is the Construction Battalion "We build,We fight". After BC he'll go to TX for 3 months, then who knows! I've got the box, the formed letter, the "im here" call, and was even fortunate enought to get a 5 minute phone call last week when he was allowed to call the evening my husband had surgery to check on him. So he they must have a decent commanding officer or whatever they call the person who trains them, because otherwise i know that call was a no no..But hey, WE TOOK IT ! And it was great!! He sounded , calm, focused, and very sweet. Said the food was good, they were going to bed about 7:30-8pm, getting up 3:30-4am, depending on the day. This was last Monday 10/8 it was his first full week, he left 10/1. He said the next day they were starting their shots, since he was coming out of the P-days (processing days) Oh, and that there was alot of screaming going on...but he had heard all about it , not sure if he was prepared for as much, i'll have to find out more since he emphasized ALOT, lol

Here is the link that was given to me by one of the moms here about what goes on each day in bootcamp.Hope it opens up for you..

Glad to be here with you all!!!!

JoAnn, thanks for sharing!!!

Hello everyone I just got the form letter and my baby is with Ship 12 Div 023 glad to meet everyone whose son or daughter is part of this group.

Welcome aboard!

My daughter Tori is with Ship 12 Div 023 as well  :)

my daughter is Brittney and in div 023 as well. So exited!

Good morning!  6 weeks until PIR!  Hoping to get a letter soon.

I was really hoping for a letter today, but nothing! :(  This is making me crazy!!!  I just want to hear that he is fine and handling things ok!!!  JoAnn, thank you so much for the link.  I think you also answered my question about what training day they are on, since your son called last Monday and they were starting training on Tuesday!  I was also so glad to hear they were going to bed early!  lol I keep trying to convince myself that no news is good news, but geez...it doesn't work everyday!  lol I am so thankful to have this group.  It has helped so much!

Thanks to all of you!

Kayla

Just joined you guys.  I have one graduating on 11/9 and 11/30.

Can't imagine having 2 in at once.  At least you know what to expect with the second one!

No letter yet.  Trying not to get my hopes up too much.  I know everything is fine, just don't like the snail mail.  My father was in the Navy when I was young and it would takes weeks if not months to get letters back and forth.  Seems like that all over again.  At least this "deployment" is only 8 weeks.

I'm interested to see where everybody is from.  My son likes to travel and meet people from different places, guess he picked a good career!  Hopefully they have had some time to talk and to get to know each.  We are from Kentucky.

We're in the north east corner of Texas
